Today I get an email explaining I scored too high
I politely explained I've had several jobs and a degree so have higher soft skills than your average 16 year old apprentice

Redid the thing and manage to knock it down slightly but like I'm not gonna lie to you because you hired a 25 year old with a masters degree to do an underpaid apprenticeship
what do they mean "scored too high"? do they want somebody that's worse at it?
It was literally just "how good do you think you are at these things" and then they adjust how much apprenticeship learning you need and apparently mine was too high for "what they'd expect"
Like.... Yeah.... I have a masters and this is aimed at 16 year olds but no one else will hire me and pay me money so like fuck me I guess
I cannot begin to comprehend why “scoring too high” is even a thing in the first place, much less an issue. That’s dumb af

Earlier this evening, at around 7 PM CT U.S., Rebekah Jones (notably one of DeSantis’ biggest political enemies right now) underwent a raid on her home by state police.
Guns were pointed in the face of her 13-year old son, Jack. They arrested him under the charges of digital terrorism and “on state orders.”

You know, what makes this incredibly immoral is the whole 'No, go to the back of the line and die' tone? Because, and I know this is still a bit of a shit move to do, but what the doctors COULD say is 'We want you to get vaccinated before the operation, to trust that you are in less risk while recovering from surgery. Come in and we'll take care of that, and schedule your operation'.
It's a bit of blackmail, but it's STILL less shitty than 'No. Die.'

Covid is FATAL if you have a compromised immune system.
If you get a transplant, you will have a MASSIVELY compromised immune system. You'll both be weak from surgery, AND be on immunosuppressant drugs.
In addition, hospitals these days are RIFE with Covid. Because, you know. Pernicious infectious disease.
So what they are saying is that you need to REDUCE YOUR RISKS in order to get a HIGHLY DANGEROUS SURGERY to make sure you have a DECENT CHANCE OF SURVIVAL.
I'm not certain that the vaccines are perfect right now, AT ALL, but when it's a situation of LITERAL life and death, and your response is 'No, I should increase my chance of dying before getting this invasive surgery to stick it to THE MAN.' then I don't really know what to say to you.
They deny transplants to those who smoke and drink heavily too. They want people who will likely to survive to get the organs.
