I am choosing to have hope
And just like that I’m back on my Cleon bullshit 😳
reblog to send your mutuals a hug. maybe just the thought is enough to cheer them up 🥺
Your first draft being bad is not a scandal. That’s the job. Expecting a perfect first draft is like expecting a newborn baby to do taxes.
Evidence against the argument that Superman's disguise wouldn't fool anyone:
adventurecomics
Dolly Parton once lost a Dolly Parton look alike contest to a fucking drag queen.
Charlie Chaplin once failed to even place at a Charlie Chaplin impersonator contest.
Hugh Jackman went to comic con as Wolverine, only 2 people noticed him and one told him he was too tall.
Christopher Reeve use to go to a restaurant in costume when filming Superman. When he went in the Superman costume he was mobbed by people all the time. When he went in the Clark Kent costume no one realized he was Christopher Reeve.
• Robert Downey Jr. got second place in Tony Stark look-alike contest.
affirmations:

me, a mutual who has never interacted:
► reblog to let your mutuals know that... YOUR RP BLOG IS NOT TIME-SENSITIVE!
...That there is NO time limit or expiration date on asks, memes or threads.
...That your partners NEVER need to feel they have to apologise for not responding to a thread or ask yet.
...That you welcome replies to "OLD" threads and memes, even if they've been sitting quietly untouched for weeks or months.
...That there is NEVER any pressure or obligation for your partners to reply until they feel the drive and enthusiasm to do so.
...That YOU will happily respond to things at YOUR OWN leisure, and you would like your partners to feel comfortable doing the same.
Not everybody enjoys running their blog this way and that's a-okay. But removing the idea that RP interactions are something that can "expire" or that the asks in your inbox have an unspoken "due-date", takes the pressure off of both your partners and yourself and can help bust feelings of stress/anxiety from the hobby. Reblog to let your partners know that you're just jazzed to receive new writing from them, whenever it comes.
#for science
reblog this if you're fine with your mutuals sending you asks unprompted
just a reminder: you can write when you want and with who you want. it doesn't matter how many threads you have going with one person. if that's who you want to respond to then respond to them! if you want to answer a meme for just them? go for it! your friends, your mutuals, the people who stick around? they understand. they get it. they have their people too. so never feel like you aren't doing enough or that you have to respond to others. do it when you can and when you feel up to it. this is for fun. this is rp. it's not a job. we do it because we love it and if that means writing for one person more than others? so be it. no one has a right to get mad at you over it.
repeat after me: i am doing this for fun. i am having fun. i deserve to have fun in this space. no one can take that away from me.
