hanjithenewcommander:
Among the mess, Hanji was trying to finish up a report she had spent all all night and the day before working on. It was a lengthy report regarding experiments with the most recently caught test subjects. When their eyes met, Hanji looked like she’d been through a crying fit. “Not really… I just wanted to get this done so I can get onto a request for catching more titans in time for the next expedition.”
"So...that’s a no,” she said, tilting her head slightly to the side as if to look keen on puzzling out all of the other woman’s secrets. “I hate to sound like a nicer version of Captain Levi, but...you really should take a few minutes to yourself now and then. It would do wonders for your health.” Both mental and physical, she was tempted to add, but didn’t. If Hanji wanted to talk about whatever it was that had perhaps made her cry (if it was even that; sometimes it was hard to tell), then she would. Nanaba wasn’t really the type of person to pry, not when she was just as closed-off, sometimes.
