Caroline couldn’t imagine being happier in her adult life. Sure, it wasn’t a long time, but it made up for it in the joy that she felt on a daily basis. Not worrying about money or housing. Not to mention she spent most of her time with an unbelievably gorgeous man that her mother would probably not approve of. She loved it. Having things of her own, being her own person and not having to work for anyone elses approval. It was an extremely pleasing way to live.
Her eyes looked at him through the mirror, a sinful smile on her lips. He looked ruffled and sexy from his long day. Had they not had plans she might have rolled them around in the floor, the bed, the door, the bar—- every part of her loft, actually. “Thank you and imagine how lovely it will look on your floor later.” She said, a giggle falling from her lips, fingers teasingly toying with the straps of her dress. She took his hand, rising to meet his level. “I love it.” She whispered.
It was a rare occurrence that Lucien found someone he actually enjoyed to have around more than long weekend. It did helped that Caroline was persistent, perhaps was that charming recently out of teenage life that made her so endearing to the man. But whatever it was, he had been right to choose such dress, elegant and yet, she had never looked better. “Ah, I’m sure it will make a fine addition to the floor. Such like the rest of the things I bought you.” And his finger flickers gently over her shoulder, hazel eyes captivated by her.
“Good.” Hand moves to hers, bringing it close to his lips and leaving a kiss over her knuckles. Despite everything he does, Lucien is, of course, a gentleman. He had been taught to be so, and so, he can be charming. “Shall we? I’m not done with surprises for this night, love.”

“You forget, dear Lucien, that I am their business now.” Freya told him with a small smile. Not too long ago her brothers wanted nothing to do with her but now they were protective, always looking out for her. “Oh only a few centuries? Well that is just no time all.” She told him, smirking. “Well you are part of a small club- many people in this town want all of us gone though most of all they want Niklaus out of their lives.” Freya smiled as Lucien gave her a compliment. “Your charm seems to know no end.”
“For us it’s just a long weekend.” Over a thousand years old and time still passed as fast as it did as a human. “I already gave my advice on what Nik should do. You are the Original family. Remind people of that.” Just as he was the first person to have been turn into a vampire and he let people know that. How he lets people know of his empire and how he created a powerful serum to be just as strong as an original. “I speak only the truth. You had captivated me, Freya Mikaelson. And only a few women can say that over my long life.” The vampire say as he sways them both at the gentle sound of the music, his eyes never leaving hers.

Freya watched him, smiling at the man as he spoke of handling Finn. “Are you sure about that, my dear? His jealousy rivals that of your friend Tristan. Do not underestimate it he does not like to share his big sister.” The blonde warned. He had his warning though and it was the best she could do. She knew Lucien and knew that he would persist with it saying he would be just fine. Rather than fight him on it she simply nodded. “Just know that I have given you every chance to go running for the hills. Don’t be cross with me when one of them hurts you.” She took the flowers and smiled. “So where will we be going on this date you have planned?” Freya asked as she headed to get a vase for the flowers.
“Oh I do not think anyone’s jealousy rivals Tristan. Who is anything but my friend.” His alliance with the nuisance that was Tristan had been just that, for a mutual goal they both had but ended up just breaking after the man is now drowning in a well deserved eternal punishment. “If anything happens, it would be entirely worth it.” The progeny speaks, a smile gently resting on his features as if it was part of his natural self. “A small but beautiful restaurant in the coast of the Mississippi. I might had bought it for the night.” And he is grinning now, following the other as gaze falls to the flowers.

The sound of her own name startled her and she looked up to find Lucien peering at her. She hastily wiped at her eyes to try to dash the tears away. “Oh, I thought everyone was done cleaning in here.” she said simply. Aurora rose and dusted herself off. She had to force the mask back into place. Lucien would not mention that he’d seen her crying, but another servant might. They would want to help, and “help” might mean finding Tristan. Aurora didn’t want to deal with him right now.
She sniffed once and tried to pull the tears back in, but once they’d started, they didn’t seem to want to stop. “Do not tell any one that you saw me here.” Aurora told him. It was her intention to turn and go to her room, but instead her feet carried her closer to her old friend. Lucien was probably the closest thing that she had to a friend. Aurora wasn’t supposed to have friends that were men, and she especially wasn’t supposed to have friends that were servants, but that was perhaps what made Lucien the closest of her friends: he didn’t want her brother’s hand, or to curry favor with her father.
So she went to him. Her arms wrapped around his chest and she buried her face in his tunic for a moment before the course fabric proved too abrasive for her delicate cheek. “I’m fine. I’m fine.” she murmured, shaking her head and pulling away slightly. “Can you take me somewhere I’ll be alone?”
He had only returned to the great hall to check everything was on its rightful place, as the count was a very organised man who hated misplaced furniture.To say Lucien wanted to be on the man’s good graces was to say the least, the young man wanted his father’s name cleared of all debts. “If you wish so, milady.” He does as he is told. Because he wasn’t just a servant around her, a friend, a secret one for his current status didn’t allowed him to be near her without a proper intention.
Her arms were on his chest and he stays still, hands barely holding on her frame for he knows he shouldn’t even lead her on to touch him. Yet, he just allowed her to search comfort in such act, and he sighs. She doesn’t look fine, his suspicious turning into a proper matter when she asks to be taken away. For a moment he wants to deny her such thing, but the sight of tearing green eyes is enough to make him weak, hazel eyes looking around to not be seen. “Yes. We must be quiet, milady. You shouldn’t be up at this time.”
And gentle hand on her back guides her through the halls, standing in front of one of the walls, and giving a gentle push to a loose side, it opens to reveal a passage. “This way.” And he leads through the darkness of the passage, the salt of the sea making it known where he was taking her.

“Lucien.” Tristan greeted stiffly. The two members on security detail that had let Lucien in without notifying him directly were in for a demotion if not a funeral pyre. He did not look up from his papers right away, not deeming it important enough. When he finally did look up, he didn’t look pleased to see his “old friend.”
“As you well know Aurora is not here, and even if she were, you’d have little business here. So if you don’t mind, approach your point swiftly. Some of us have important matters to deal with.”
“Tristan.” If Lucien had caught something from his sire was the sheer disdain he felt toward Tristan, reflected in the way he spoke in such mockery the name of the man. He had to remind himself of WHY he had presented himself before the other. Disdain and mutual unpleasantness reflected on both of the men.
“Ah yes, like the multi-millionaire company I own. So I shall be quick.” A grin spreads through his features for a moment, taking out of his suitcase a folder. “I have something that might interest you. All three of us, actually. One perfect opportunity to take down the Mikaelsons, as we promised.” He hadn’t forgotten of their promise to take down their sires and now, Lucien had found the perfect get up for such opportunity. “A prophecy that tails of their downfall.”
