the issue with writing for yourself is that you will get sucked into rereading your own fic over and over and pretend it’s “editing,” but really you’re just reading because it’s exactly what you want to read. because you wrote it. for you.

the update no one thought i’d make. someone commented that my malevolent fic was two years old and still didn’t have a pt 2 despite me saying i would write one and FUCK two years went fast lol

anyway, that guilted me into work and i’ve currently got about 2700 words of pt 2. it’s not finished, the draft is nearly finished and then it’ll need some editing etc BUT it’s coming

the hardest thing about writing a fic is not always the writing itself but the crippling fear of looking like a self-important dickhead when you post little teaser excerpts or talk about your work unprompted 😭😭😭
