Too "ick" to eat, but not eating makes you sicker.
Not knowing if you have the stomach flu or just morning sickness.
Finding out that someone asked a coworker if you were pregnant... You're only 6.5 weeks. The person he asked is 14 weeks and still tiny. #donutsforbreakfast
That time the president of your company wants you to sing at the Christmas party, where everyone will be drunk, and you'd rather hole-up and sleep in the corner. Getting dressed at all makes you want to barf, so getting dressed UP?! #politics
You know you're 6 weeks pregnant when you've already stared at your Outlook calendar at work to find out exactly which day you will be starting pre-labor maternity leave, how many vacation days you'll be able to apply to PP maternity leave and how to maximize your office holidays to make the return to work less painful.
That time when you were at work and you were so tired, you rested your head on your desk, just to wake yourself up moments later with drool, guilt and shame, wondering how many coworkers now guessed you were knocked up.
That time when all you want is lasagna, so you force yourself to make a few lasagnas (1 for now, 2 for the freezer), then the first bite makes you gag.
Everything's wrong.
Everything is wrong with the first trimester of pregnancy. You find out, "oh the joy!", then you can't tell anyone. Especially not your place of work. But why?! Why is it that during the most vulnerable part of pregnancy, you need the most support, but have to remain the most secretive?! You spend more time at work than you do at home or with the people closest to you, who may actually know your little secret. It's a giant, clustery mess and it sucks.
