I know this has probably been said before, but Lunter Soulmate AUs. What if Luz and Hunter both have the red string and Luz's always leads to a place she can't follow and vice versa until she arrives at the Isles does she feel it getting shorter? What if Luz can feel Hunter's pain from his injuries everytime he gets hurt? What if they first see color when they both look into each other eyes when Hunter doesn't have his mask?
