It didn’t take long for him to be met with a fierce scolding from the older woman, she felt he took advantage of her, and though he felt it was consensual, he could understand why she felt different.
The former Robin endured the scolding- though he couldn’t help but notice how sexy she looked wearing his shirt. Guess there’s good in every situation if you look hard enough.
At the conclusion of her rant he finally spoke.“ Look, I’m sorry.” Shoulders lowered in defeat, tone sad and apologetic.“ But–but you, uh, came on…to me. You knew how I felt about you and you tore my towel off.” He stood to his feet.
“I know you’re pissed, Zee. I get it. You fucked Bruce’s bastard son, right? But no one has to know about it. After all you’ve admitted to me you fucked Grayson so it ain’t the first time.” He shrugged.
“Okay…” She paused, holding up a hand in protest. “Firstly… I didn’t fuck him. We aggressively made out while under a spell. Heavy petting, maybe. But that’s it. It also physically nauseated me when the spell broke. I practically mothered that boy.” Her hand waved again before both of her arms moved to cross over her chest.
The magician did her best to stay calm, but him making it as if it were some kind of fetish of hers was making it difficult. “I am not pissed because of who you are, Jason… I’m pissed because you let me be a drunken idiot and come onto you-” Her words seemed to quiet as she spoke them, getting eaten up by her own realization that he wasn’t entirely to blame. Zatanna sighed, her hands dropping from her chest, one moving to pinch the bridge of her nose.
“Anyway… where did my clothes go?”
Now he wasn’t sure what to believe about her drunken Nightwing revelation, but he digressed.“ Okay. My bad.” He was going to be careful with anything he said moving forward.
“Yes. I let you be a drunken idiot and come on to you.” He held the bridge of his nose.“I suppose it was also me that made you go all Hocus Pocus in my living room all shit-faced, right? Look– I’m sorry. It’s hard to believe that but I am.” Sincerity was evident in his tone.
“Um, you kinda made them disappear last night. But– if it helps you’re more than welcome to keep mine.” She looked incredible in his shirt.
Zatanna felt her eyes narrow as she tried to remember exactly how she showed up. “Hocus Pocus into your... oh...” It hit her as her confused expression transitioned into a sort of guilty looking one. The hand that was busy pinching the bridge of her nose moved to press to her forehead. “Because I knew you wouldn’t sober me up...” The magician’s hand dropped as she deadpanned. “Because you’re a bad influence.”
Zee smirked a bit at that. Her hand raised and she snapped her fingers, her current outfit of just his t-shirt changed into a pair of leggings and an oversized sweatshirt. The upper garment fell off her shoulder slightly as she moved to sit next to him. “Thanks for the offer.” She mumbles, looking towards him.
“Was it good at least? I kinda remember it but kinda not...”
