Labyrinth Rats [CA EVENT]
Cucumber’s companions seemed just as lost as he was, which wasn’t helping him keep his cool.
"These huge w-walls aren’t usually here?" he questioned, drops of liquid concern trailing down his brow. Tall, graying walls surrounded the group on three sides. Their height could only be vaguely approximated, though to Cucumber they might as well have continued infinitely into the black void above them. Below them, a collection of puddles; their water so eerily still and serene that the path seemed to be lined with a multitude of small mirrors.
"Looks like the only direction we can go is f-forward."
Cucumber slowly tip-toed down the available path, approaching a corner as the trail took a sharp left.
”Ow-!”
The Dreamsider felt a strong tug from behind, leaving a light, reddened ring on his wrist. As he turned his eyes back towards his friends, he realized they had felt a similar sensation on their own wrists.
Carrot bent down, surveying the small pools ahead and directly infront of him. A low ‘mm’ escaping as a hand went to his chin, covering his mouth. He raised a brow at the sudden change of appearance within the city but it was almost to be expected from such a strange place. He examined the surrounding area more, standing up as a muffled ‘ah huh’ escaped his lips.
Turning to his smaller compatriots he said with a clear voice and an extreme amount of confidence in his voice;
"Yes, I in fact do believe that this is indeed, water!"
That was almost too embarrassing. But Carrot was rather pleased with his assessment. With a nod of assurance he turned to Nautilus.
"I do believe Cucumber is right, Princess. Venturing forth appears to be the most preferred action available! Do take care tthat we not- Goodness…!!"
Carrot felt a slight tug at his wrist, looking down he saw the trail of red that had now connected himself and the Hero, turning to the princess he saw a similar string connected them as well. His eyes widened.
"O-Oh dear… this may prove… ah…hum… slightly troublesome to say the least… What do you suppose this is?"
The prospect of being connected was a good idea, but how mysteriously those threads appeared was a terrifying prospect, a feeling of mild fear seemed to envelop Carrot, the feeling passing to his friends.

Forward was a great movement -- Nautilus admired moving forward. Shadowing the steps of her two comrades with no further protest, she'd trail them into an inevitable sensation; a brief tugging upon her wrists.
A new, scarlet thread was found laced about her wrist. Taking a minute to admire it with her hand held delicately within the air, she'd propose her thoughts before either of her (unfortunately cynical) companions could assume the worst. The creases of her lips drew into a gaping smile, carrying an air of reassurance wonted for the princess.
Someone had to be the optimist after all.
"Why, I say it's linking us together!"
"We're even closer now! Isn't that great?"
questingcucumber
"N-Nautilus? You and Carrot are both here?"
"It does seem a little brighter, now that you mention it! Although, that look on your face makes me wonder if there’s actually, y’know, a plan…”
"I’m not sure if that ‘bright’ side is actuall what it seems…. Doesn’t it almost appear as if we’re… not in the original city we were in perhaps?"
Her companions were right; it was a little dark in here, not to mention there was a peculiar musky stench wafting in the air, one she was certain wasn't there earlier. Pressing a finger to the bottom of her chin dubiously in thought, the princess would echo Carrot's question.
"You have a point, Sir Carrot. I don't think I remember this part of the city."
But then again, that's not saying much.
“Carrot?! Where are you!? It’s dark here, Carrot! My wand is a toy, Carrot! I DON’T LIKE IT HERE, CARROT!”
"N-Now that you mention it…. it is indeed rather dark in this place… My word… Where have we gone….?!"
"You two really ought to start thinking on the bright side! We have each other, don't we?"

After the close call he’d had with that man in the underground labs, and now knowing that Bill was here, Dipper knew he had to be careful about where he could pour over the journal. The library seemed like a good place. It was back home, usually, and not too many people seemed to hang around Hive City’s library. Even better, in his opinion.
Unfortunately, he never accounted for the fact that people in Hive City were surprisingly more… social. He jumps and slams the book shut when he hears the voice behind him.
"It’s…" he starts, as he looks over his shoulder at the girl. She doesn’t look to mean too much harm, but he can’t take any risks. Sometimes the most innocent faces could be the most sinister, he had to tell himself. He had to tread with caution.
"It’s… something from back home. Where I’m from, I mean. It’s… kind of like an encyclopedia, I guess. Really dry stuff.”
"So you are a record keeper for your world? My family is also responsible for such."
Not that she remembers half the things she was taught. Still, the thought of learning of the human's world was quite enticing, and the opportunity to make a new friend even more so. Pulling a seat parallel to her newly 'acquaintance', she'd propose a plan.
"..Say! Why don't you share with me something from the human world, and I'll share with you something from mine? If you don't mind, of course."
After all, the boy seemed eager to shut the book earlier. She wasn't going to try and pry confidential information him obviously; simply tidbits about his world. The earless folk had always piqued her interest; how different were their worlds exactly?
Anxious to learn, she had almost forgotten one important detail.
"My name is Nautilus, by the way! Princess Nautilus."
Drew Nautilus instead of paying attention in class u v u
"So the Nightmare Knight has perished. Does that mean we have won back home?"
The Nightmare Knight prepared his phone.
To: Princess Nautilus
From: The Nightmare Knight
I can hear you from here, Princess. I should have you know that several attempts have been made on my life already. By the next time we meet, I will have been slain and this war will have been forgotten.
P.S. I have a house now, in Sector 4. If you get the time, please head over and turn off my stove. The keys are under the doormat.
Since when did the Nightmare Knight have a royal instrument of summoning (The thought of him summoning something is entertained, but quickly forgotten)?! How could he possibly hear her from wherever he was?!
Without delay, the princess would angrily text back.
[1] So you say! But how many signed legendary swords could possibly be in this city?! And what of your henchmen?
A pause.
[2] PS. I do not think I can reach your door.
-Knock knock-.
"Nightmare Knight! I should've known that monster would've attempt to take over this world sooner or later!"
"If we team up together, we can overthrow him and these new, misfit underlings of his!"
She says while the entire metropolis is practically at war with itself. Quick thinking.
