My first attempt at homemade bread and I’m pretty damn proud of the result. My New Year resolution was to master bread making so off o a pretty good start!
Dinner was delicious. Roasted chicken breast with garlic and lemon kale spinach salad, cauliflower mashed potatoes and regular steamed potatoes.
The best breakfast. Avocado on Dave’s Killer Bread with chia and flax seeds. 1/4 cup peaches with chia seeds. Keeps me full for 3-4 hours!

Post gym snack. My trainer kicked my ass. My legs were literally shaking by the time I was done. Excuse me while I spend the rest of the day crying in pain.
Off to my first official workout session with my trainer. This is my favorite on-the-go breakfast for when I don’t have time to actually prepare something. Super filling, healthy, and relatively easy on calories and fat. My arms are killing me from yesterday’s workout so I’m hoping today is leg day. Either way, I expect to be in quite a bit of pain 😳
Lunch - a salad with chickpeas and a turkey burger. Had my first consult with a trainer today. She made me do a 15 min arm workout and I am SO sore. It just goes to show how much I don’t push myself at the gym. I’ve never walked out of there after 15 minutes feeling like I do now. My first official session is tomorrow - at 7am 😞 but I’m looking forward to it. I’ve signed up for 6 months and really looking forward to seeing results over these next few months.

I've been MIA!
Our cat passed away a week ago and then between putting my little son in daycare and getting ready to go back to work next week, I totally lost track of posting my food and working out! I go back to work on Monday and will try and get back on track. Might have to give myself some grace because it'll be my first week back. Kind of nervous and kind of excited. Hope I don't run out of there weeping.
My favorite time of year is almost upon us! Hoodies, gorgeous weather, boots, scarves, Halloween, pumpkin and apple picking, fireplaces and warm drinks. Sign me up!
