okay so first off I am not dead! the sickness is gone! hurray! secondly… I’m really freaking lazy so i’m just doing one post for all my accounts. they’d all basically be the same anyway… also, hello everyone. The moment Krem leans forward, he feels his skin burn. So careful is he, a habit ingrained in him that he’s realising there is no need for - no one here cares, friendship doesn’t have restrictions on how often someone should smile, how close they should stand. Noted it before with the Chargers, how truly like family they are. Still, he smiles, enjoys the sound of laughter and gives a polite bow of the head as the Inquisitor walks past. In his head he tries to imagine the Qunari in more appropriate clothing, can’t imagine there is any this side of Thedas that fits - and chuckles into his glass when he adds feathers to the image. Even a story like that is far more entertaining than any he could tell. It seems everyone has a tale to tell, but his are dull in comparison, a privileged life hardly one worth telling. "Here I was thinking nothing could get him to wear something decent. That’s certainly something to imagine. I bet you all looked quite dashing in something so extravagant, though. Well, maybe some of you.”

The slight unease is picked up and Krem sits back once again. It wasn't difficult to understand that others weren't as interactive and personal, at some point in his life he had been the same way. Parts of him were still like that, thoughts of intimacy and unsuspected affection making him want to curl up and close off. And at those things creeping into his mind, he can't help but wonder if he did something wrong.
His own discomfort is swallowed down with the rest of his drink.
"I'm sure you could make them work, wear 'em up all fancy."
Moving on, maybe Dorian would appreciate the talk of fashion considering his style.
"Mine looked alright, but I suppose that's because I sew."

"Good morning, Krem, is there something I can help you with?"
"No need, Inquistor. Rocky and I are gonna head out to scout some marked areas in a bit. If you need us to do something else though, let me know."
It’s easier to look like an accidental one drink too many with a glass. Subconscious little motives he barely recognises nowadays. Taking his own sips, he nods - Krem is far more understanding than his Chief, that’s certain. Wonders, briefly, if it’s because of where they’re from. "Bull speaks about you a lot. As he does everyone. I’m sure your stories are far more interesting than ones of a privileged Altus life. Care to indulge me?” Can’t imagine what it is that made a man like Krem leave the Imperium, not with an impressive military rank. Assumes it’s something he wouldn’t want to talk about, and given his good nature - making the Chargers join the Inquisition - he leaves it at a change of heart and nothing more. They’ll speak of it sometime, if he wishes. "Tell me one of your stories, won’t you? All full of adventure."
Just a little thought given to past encounters had him chuckling into his bottle. There is a little light in his eyes as he nods at the mage. The Chargers had brought his life so many reasons to laugh and breathe a little easier, even if he won't admit that over the chief's puns. It was and will always be his place in life, couldn't ask for a better group of misfits and talent to stand beside.
"Alright, I have loads of those." He collects his laughter, leaning closer to Dorian. "Some noble contacted us hurriedly about an assassination. Had a pretty strange way about it, though."
The shift in background noise doesn't interrupt him. Simply, people spun heads and words because the Inquisitor was passing through. He became used to the change the leader brought along (often did they have to come through because Sera and Cole's odd activities were in need of address) and Krem only smiled a bit wider, remembering when he shared the same story with them.
"We were asked to sew feathers into our armor, some unnecessary metaphor. Just imagine the Chief with a shirt, never mind being covered completely in blasted feathers. Mission didn't go as planned, though." He sips his drink, shakes his head.
"The bastard died a year later, choked on a chicken bone of all things."
"A spoonful of sugar makes things go down easy. No more pain. No more bad dreams. Small. Tiny. Making no noise when she curls into the covers. She will not dream tonight-" The spirit-human was stopped short in his murmuring by the presence of another, shifting ever so slightly to face the approaching other.He recognises him from his conversations with The Iron Bull, but they have never spoken to each other personally. A slow blink was offered. Silence dragged on for a few moments before Cole responds. "Yes, I am Cole. And you are Krem. How can I help?"
He has finally sampled the parts of Cole he was warned about. It was difficult to tell whether he didn't care or just having a fair warning kept the more distant speech from bothering him.
"Nothing at the moment, just figured it's about time we met."
Krem's had his share of strange. He has also had his fair share of misunderstanding and wouldn't put the other through it without actually getting to know him.
“ And here I was expecting to hear you say ‘ Hawke no ‘. ”
"My mind is opened. ---You sure you're alright, though? Not certain what's taking the bastard so long."
