ok but with Refiner's attitude to workouts, I need a story where he sorta imposes a new, healthier diet on everyone and the Botanist is super on board cause he wants to look good for Lena and the Worker is following too because protests are heavy on the body but the Scientist and the Technician aren't happy about it. Yes, the scientific explanation is perfectly reasonable, but the brain works best on easy glucose. Also, the time spent on working out (and sorta dying afterward) could be spent more productively on science. The Technician is doing it only because the rest got on his ego. SO

SO the two because unexpected allies in cheating the diet without the others knowing. Parners in chocolate crime.

I need to read about the absolute panic on their faces when Jan the Captain walks in on them munching on chocolate bars as if that was the last thing they'll ever do whereas he begun to expect the most surprising coup to be planned

Despite it all I can't hate solarpunk. It's caramel-apple sweet-simplistic, a desire for a greater world on one simple axis without grappling with any kind of political reality. You can chip at its ankles but unfortunately it will still be kind of awesome epicsauce at its heart. Sometimes you really do need to just cut past all the hard-nosed realism, get back to the kid looking up at you with those big blubbering eyes saying "what if everyone was nice to eachother?" That kid does not know an ant's arse about the real world or how it works, but they're still 1000 times more correct than all of us trying to explain why it can't be done. You can't lose sight of the stupid, hopeless dream. You can't lose sight of it. Otherwise you turn into a dickhead.
