Cause I can tell you that is ABSOLUTELY NOT the case. Maybe it's the only reason you think people make her sapphic but that doesn't mean it's true.

Personally I headcanon Lily as a lesbian most of the time but my reasons for headcanoning her as that have absolutely nothing to do with Jegulus or James!

They always like to frame it to make it seem like all Jegulus shipper are misogynistic towards Lily when in reality they are the ones really centering Lily's character around a man!

Lily is her own person outside of being James' wife/girlfriend! And Marylily, Pandalily and PandaMaryLily are some of the best ships in the fandom and it's time people start recognizing that!!

it's more than okay to have a preference for one of the ships over the other but that doesn't mean you your preferred ship is better than the other ship.

Everybody can have their own preference for which ever ship they like, and that's okay! Just as long as they mind their own fucking business and don't comment on the other ships post about how your preferred ship is better.

You not liking/not understanding a ship doesn't mean it's inherently wrong. And it's time to grow out of this superiority complex some people have just because they ship a certain ship!

I need young/new fandom people to PLEASE learn etiquette of fanfiction and fandom and be respectful, it's okay if you don't like a fanfiction but it is extremely rude and against the well-being of the whole fandom to be fixated on hating it publicly and making hate posts about it, ignore it or block the content from it if you didn't like it or don't agree with how the characters are depicted there!

Fanfiction is not a product they are selling you, it's a shared FREE piece of art, and the only thing you're accomplishing by hating on it is making the fandom less rich and possibly pushing away people from being passionate and participating, being part of the community + scaring also OTHER people at the same time and pushing them away too because they'll be afraid to share their own art too, which is art that you could love!

Be mindful so you can also get more of what YOU like.

Block tags and use the block button when you don't want to see some type of content, be respectful of other artists and writers who are fans of media and just want to share their own vision and passion with others and find their space exactly like you do.

Also "canon" doesn't hold much meaning in fandom - it's called like that because it's of the fans!! Fandom is where you should be free to divert from canon as much as you'd like!
