can a person be both lucky and unlucky at the same time? seems like viktor is the living proof that it is. it’s not the first time he finds himself in the middle of a death eater attack right after coming to britain and the thought of it is as frightening as it is downright ridiculous. he knew there was an ongoing rise in their activities ( which is why he decided to come back in the first place ) but, choosing to go to the one event they’ll terrorize? unlucky. he came out of the attack mostly unscathed ( and this is where he’d consider himself lucky where other’s wouldn’t ) all thanks to durmstrang and the presence of the dark arts in its curriculum; he’s not entirely unfamiliar with the cruciatus curse… which doesn’t really mean that it’s ineffective on him ( he could still feel the thousand hot knives on his skin if he focused hard enough ) only that he could recover with a bit more ease. other attendants weren’t so fortunate, and between them was an old friend… according to what he heard fleur had been rushed to the hospital, and that is exactly why he’s making his way down its corridors. finding the room is an easy task and soon enough he’s standing at the door, a bit of an awkward smile in place, “really not how i was expecting to pay you a visit, but i guess we cannot always get what we want… huh?”
everything is such a blur. the last thing she remembers is fighting a death eater and then her knees buckling under her as powerful pain struck her head. her head still aches like never before and it will for awhile, the healers had told her. she just wants to get to the bottom of the entire situation. the feeling of not knowing if everyone made it out okay or not is terrifying. however, she’s bound to the hospital bed and especially after what the healers found out from her vitals , they just want to keep watch over her. fleur is simply restless before perking up at the sight of a familiar face in the doorway. “well happy homecoming, vik.” the french woman grinned as she gestured him in. the two’s friendship had been years in the making and she’s happy he had come back. “you weren’t hurt, were you?”
