Line 1031-1036 The ladies take refuge from the storm (Nature in sympathy) in La Coche.
"Written before the winter of 1541 by Marguerite, Queen of Navarre and sister to Francis 1st of France. La Coche is a late example of the mediaeval 'débat d'amour', a genre in which two or more arguments are presented for judgement before an arbitor: in Chaucer's 'Parlement of Foules' the tercets submit their claims to the formal eagle to Nature; in 'La Coche', three ladies ask Marguerite to decide which of them is most unfortunate in love. French analogues are numerous, though all earlier: Marguerite names Alain Chartier (line 51) whose 'Livre des Quatre Dames' has several similarities; Christine de Pisan's 'Dit de Poissy' and 'Dit des trois jugements' are also analagous. MS. Douce 91 and MS. 522 in the Musée Condé, Chantilly, which are almost indentical, were executed in Paris and given to her friends by the Duchesse d'Etampes, the favourite of Francis 1st."
a fascinating manuscript page I found on Jstor
the children of clay is a stop motion horror game that puts you in the shoes of an archaeologist examining a dark clay relic of ancient human origin. your working under candle light and as the game progresses you come to realise the artefact houses and ancient pagan god off pure evil origins that stuck horror into ancient humans. this realisation comes as the demonic god escapes from its tomb for the first time in over 15000 years. the game is claustrophobic and invites you to pry and prod at a demonic entity. the stop motion frames where individually scanned in leading to an absolutely stunning horror experience. that idea of a god trapped in a vessel really intrigues me and something I really think could be fascinating for my practice.
Audint- Delutions of the living dead
An exploration of alternitive pasts as means to investigate the future? Eveything is haunted by the possibilities of what could have been and maybe what should have been and audint explore this idea through soundscape and images. They waeve fact with fiction to create something that feels real but acts as more of a Delution, and considering the work explores sonic waves manipulating humans into believing they have no blood or organs it leave you questioning whats real and whats fake.
