I was always interested in the fun fact that in madoka magica the hair becomes brighter when in magical girl mode....it made me think of a version where everyone is just a normal middle school girl but upon transforming get cool hair colors and suddenly appear "prettier". It would be an insane and very exploitative mindfuck to have these young potential magical girls see beautiful superheros who want them to join, and then see an idealized version of themself when they do their magical girl jobs.
