Niall laughed softly. “I can’t help how Irish I am,” he teased. “I meant did you want to come out ‘ere and try to figure out if we can make peace or not,” he explained, “Kinda like making a truce.” Running a hand through his hair, Niall tried thinking of what to say next without upsetting Hailee. Part of him wanted to explain himself again, but he felt that would only open old wounds. “I’m very sorry,” he managed to say softly, “For bein’ an ass and everythin’.”
