i draw but im using my hands on my phone screen so i typically use bases to speed up the process and spare myself from tracing a piece of paper i spent hours referencing from the source like a normal person(only anatomy is copied and i try to do as much myself as possible but it still feels wrong). Because of this im not open for commissions because it would not be fair to those who originally provided the poses, i may be a tracer but im no thief!

i am 100% convinced that mobile phone/ social media bans for under 16s are an attempt to remove kids and teens from public life. this is not protecting kids this is locking them in houses with no escape from their abusers. the world is so hostile to teenagers rn
People seem to have a very black-and-white view of teenagers. That if they're under 18, with no exceptions, they're innocent and must be shielded from the world at all costs. But that's not how teenagers work. They're learning about adulthood, they're naturally curious and it's important that they learn about adult life in a healthy way. Right now they're being suppressed, and we have to remember that for a LOT of teenagers nowadays, their entire life- particularly their social life- is on their phones. They can't go many places in public to hang out anymore. Malls are dying. People see teenagers hanging out nowadays and immediately assume they're trouble. Third spaces are all but extinct. The internet is the last true space where they can engage with the world around them and learn and be themselves. And now they're being told they can't do that, either.
Make no mistake, parents NEED to take their children's online safety seriously, even in their teens. They need to teach the safety basics and warn them of what to watch out for, and anything that could potentially be harmful and why. They need to... well... PARENT. You can't learn everything from a damn phone. But teens also need to be able to explore and learn about things they haven't seen in real life. There's so much they can learn through experience online that they might never see irl. New identities and cultures they've never come into contact with. Health information that their parents may not have explained properly, or may not have wanted to bring up at all because they didn't want to think about their sweet innocent baby learning about what adults do with their bodies even though their sweet baby is only a few years off from being an adult themselves. And of course, political and social issues (treading lightly here, but the potential to access a lot of information about current topics and explore different viewpoints is VERY important, especially if we're talking about someone in a more isolated community where most adults think and believe the same things).
We're experiencing this creepy phenomenon of parents deciding that if they don't let their kids have access to, say, different religious beliefs, or social issues, or sexualities and genders, that they'll turn out exactly like them and make exactly all of the choices their parents want for them to make. But they're human beings. They need to be properly educated on the variety of human experiences and at LEAST, at BARE MINIMUM, be able to view people who are different from them as PEOPLE! In my personal experience, I didn't know or interact with a lot of queer folk growing up. I didn't quite understand gender identities or any of the realities trans people faced. The more time I spent online, casually watching and engaging with LGBTQ+ creators and bloggers, the more I GOT IT and the clearer it became that hey. We're all PEOPLE. And now I'm educated enough to openly advocate for everyone to have the right to be whoever they please and love whoever they please, because I let myself be curious and LEARN and it opened my mind completely. Closed-minded people are trying to weaponize this topic to keep their children as closed-minded as possible. It's oppressive and cult like. The odds are pretty good that, once the hypothetical kids have grown up and seen more of the world, they'll look back on their parents' choices with bitterness, at minimum, when they realize how restrictive their parents were and that much of what they tried keeping them from was actually good!
Make no mistake, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for teens to learn internet safety. There will always be bad people wanting to do various bad things and we need to educate them on all the potential risks and how to avoid them. It's a contentious topic for a reason, because EVERYONE wants their children to be safe when accessing the internet. But banning access entirely is not the way to go. Giving our personal IDs to strangers on the internet just to play in their little clubhouse is also unsafe for ADULTS. We KNOW this and yet it keeps being pushed and data keeps getting breached. I'm so tired. Parent your children. Let them develop a natural curiosity about the world and explore things. Have regular conversations about what's new on the interwebs and drill into their brains as many things to pay attention to as possible. There's solutions that don't involve stunting teens mentally and emotionally OR putting adults at risk in the process too all because our goddamn data is worth more than our lives.

really not pleased about having to do this again and i'm sorry but:
6 months ago, i was banned from twitch, my only source of income, for, and i quote: "". They did not provide me a reason. The person who reported me has been going around telling trans women to kill themselves and bragging about reporting me. Now that it has been 6 months, however, I can at least request reinstatement- theoretically.
Unfortunately, I can't get into the appeals page or my twitch account at all; I can't even change the phone number used for 2fa because the 2fa service is that shit, and the phone number associated with the account belongs to a friend who is way behind on his bills after a divorce.
we've managed to get most of them paid, but he's still another $150 away from getting his phone reconnected, at which point i will be switching over to my current number so this never happens again. and then i can maybe actually get my twitch account back.
