sometimes i wonder if i should just try to put up with tumblr mobile and come back here
so part of why i havenât been around is because iâve been having pretty bad computer problems and the reason it took me so long to say anything was because iâve had some really bad family issues recently and also i was hoping if i put saying anything off iâd be able to fix my computer but sadly that did not work. itâs finally giving out on me and until i can either get a new computer or fix this one, i wonât be doing any threads. iâll still be available to talk in IMs since iâll be perpetually on mobile until this gets fixed, and iâve finally set up a discord account so anyone thatâs interested can ask for that
but yeah
as of now, this blog is going to be on an indefinite hiatus until further notice, and this post will be reblogged periodically over the next day/couple of days

part of me really wants to bring back some of my old muses but
i donât really have much of an interest in that fandom finding me, even if the roleplaying community is mostly dead

please⌠i can explain
just to add an extra dose of sad to this drabble
All of the statues stationed around the graveyard are indeed petrified angels, hence why all of them are missing their wings. Â Although all of the angels that were killed this way had their wings broken off after being turned to stone, rather than the other way around, just so they couldnât be revived later. Any further damage was generally the result of falling on a battlefield (sometimes literally from falling, and usually out of the sky). Accidental, in most cases.
As for the buried angels, none of them have their own graves. Those that were found were basically all just buried together, mostly because the majority of what was found of them was unidentifiable as any one specific angel. And the majority of them werenât found at all.
Some were torn apart or eaten by monsters, some were trapped in the Underworld, some were scavenged by shopkeeps across the first three worlds (with their feathers occasionally sold to Pit), some were rendered soulless by Medusa and possessed by Phils... Thereâs a very good chance that neither of his parents are even in this mass grave.
Pit isnât aware of any of the ones that could be identified that were found since he didnât help bury any of them (since he was kind of grieving heavily at the time). He prefers it this way. So heâs never bothered to ask Palutena if his parents are certainly there.
The sun hadn't yet peeked up over the horizon as Pit set off. All was still here, save for the little angel headed for a very certain floating island. Not even Lady Palutena was up yet. Not that he would have minded anyone seeing what he was doing. It wasn't like it was some huge secret. But he wanted to do this before he had anything else to worry about doing today.
The island Pit was headed to was guarded by several angel statues, in varying conditions, all with the same sad fate of having no wings. For some of the ones that still had their heads, Pit recognized some of those faces, even after all this time. But he wasn't here for them today. Not particularly. No, today he was headed straight for the row of tombstones in the middle of the small island. He couldn't read any of the names carved into them, but he didn't need to. He remembered very well which one he was looking for. Third from the left. That's where their names were. After giving an offering of hearts to the gold bowl set atop the middle stone, he plopped himself right down next to third from the left, wearing a sheepish, almost apologetic grin.
"I hope I didn't wake you up from your sleep. I know it's kind of early right now, but I wanted to see you first today, before Lady Palutena has me run any errands."
He ran a thumb over two of the names-- Like with the tombstone, they had been pointed out specifically to him--, finding a small sense of comfort in doing so.
"Good morning, mom. Good morning, dad. I brought lots of hearts for you today. Just for you."
He looked back up the hearts he had given to them-- the spoils from one run in or another with the Underworld. He really couldn't think of a better gift to give them than that. There wasn't any better way to show them just how much stronger he was now. Even if he couldn't do anything to help them now, he wanted to make sure they knew he wasn't so weak now. He could protect all the new angels that Lady Palutena made. And her too, of course! And the Centurions!
"You don't need to worry about me. I'm still really good at fighting monsters. I got all those hearts from them."
Pit was beaming with pride as he said this. And why shouldn't he be proud? He'd come a long way since Medusa's takeover of Skyworld. He was only sad that it had come a bit too late, and he hadn't had this strength when he was making his way back all the way to her. Maybe if he had, it wouldn't have taken him so long to get back up to Skyworld, and there might still have been some angels he could have saved... Maybe even one of them. His beaming grin dimmed to a somber frown, and he leaned up against the tombstone, closing his eyes and wrapping his wings around himself.
"I'm still sorry, you know... That I couldn't save any of you. Lady Palutena tells me not to worry about it sometimes, but.... I hope you can forgive me."
He was just smaller back then. And weaker. And he wasn't used to not being able to fly. And all the other reasons that Lady Palutena said it wasn't his fault. He still blamed himself, but he tried not to. For her sake, and for theirs.
He could believe it a little bit better now, that it wasn't all his fault.
"...."
Still, he couldn't accept that none of it was his fault. It was his job then too to protect everyone, and he failed it. With a heavy sigh, he moved from leaning against the headstone to laying down in the dewy grass next to it. He was a lot more comfortable like this anyway. With his hands behind his head, and a cool breeze blowing over him, he almost considered just going to sleep here. Heh, it'd be kinda like before, when he'd sleep in their bed with them after a bad dream or when he was just feeling lonely. Maybe he could even play pretend for a little bit. Pretend that Medusa was just a really bad nightmare, and mom and dad were still around. He never failed, and everyone lived! And they were all going to celebrate today with lots of laughs and a big cake and everything! That would be really nice, wouldnât it? All his old friends would still be around too, and he could see all their families again too.
But his pretend game couldn't last forever, or for very long even.
Pit covered his eyes as the sun finally started casting its light over Skyworld. Guess he'd been here for a lot longer than he realized...
"Oh-- I guess I gotta go now."
He rolled over and pushed himself up, stretching as he got to his feet. Lady Palutena would be waking up soon, and he needed to be there to tend to whatever early morning things she needed him to do. Even if it was just getting her her morning cup of coffee. And his rumbling stomach was telling him that it was already well past time for breakfast. But it was worth it to wait a little while so he could spend all this time with his family.
"We'll see each other again someday, I'm sure. But it can't be any time soon. I still have to protect Skyworld, and make sure nothing bad like that ever happens again. Everyone is counting on me, and I'm not going to let them down. But I'll still keep visiting you too, whenever I can."
"I love you. And happy Father's Day, dad. I'll be sure to have an especially good breakfast, lunch, and dinner and train extra hard today, just for you. And mom too."
âOh, yeah. Tomorrowâs Fatherâs Day. I kinda forgot...â
âMaybe Iâll visit my dad tomorrow.â

The bottomless Canyon. It was one of the darkest and scariest places in all of the land. Most would avoid this place if they could, and those that did show up would not stay long. And yet, Kana had come here in spite of all this. He was scared of this place the first few times he was here, but eventually he grew out of that fear. It was more then just a gloomy place, it was the boarder between his homes.Â
On one end, he had his family in Nohr, the nobels of the dark country that were not so bad as they seemed. On the other, Hoshido; where the other half of his family lived. Kana stood by a bridge, thinking to himself before he spotted some stranger not to far off. Were they new here? Were they lost? the kidâs mind raced with curiosity, and soon it got the best of him. He smiled and ran over in their direction, the child eager to meet a new face.
âHey! Mister!â Kana greeted, smiling cheerfully at the man dressed in white robes. He lookedâŚdifferent. Were those wings? He soon dug his heels into the ground and skidded to a stop, looking up at the person. He had so many questions, but remembered his mother telling him it was rude to ask so much so quickly. âWho are you?â Kana asked, curiosity in his eyes.
It seemed that his sort of prayers were being answered, as a.... Kid was running up to him and shouting to him? Well, whoever this kid was, he would be grateful for the help. The kid was sure to know more about this place than he did.
âIâm Pit!â
He said this with pride, although since this wasnât Angel Land there was a good chance that his (hopefully) guide might not know the importance behind who he was. But then that could just be something that they talked about! He did like talking about his victories with people, after all.
âYou wouldnât happen to know how to get out of here, would you? This place is kinda giving me the creeps.â
Maybe a human settlement nearby, or something? He was a human, right? Although now that he was looking, those pointy ears didnât look too human to him.
// Â Heya ! Like or reblog if youâd like to interact with a new Rosalina ? Iâll check out your blog and probably throw a starter at ya tomorrow.Â
âHey how come your wings are on your back instead of your headâ
Finally got around to adding color to wip from a bit ago. Gotta love a game that lets you play an angel that can control a divine robot at one point.Â
@childish-dragon
With a stormy sky above, and a huge drop below... Yeah, Pit could definitely say that this was one of the most foreboding places he had ever been to. Outside of Angel Land, of course. Looking down over the edge, all Pit could see was darkness. Itâd probably be a pretty long fall if he tripped and fell in... Â It was with a shudder that he recalled the old days, when long drops like this always meant certain doom. He figured that this probably would be too. Oh, itâd probably hurt pretty bad to get finished by splatting on the rocks below, wherever they were. Yeah, he was just going to stay away from the edge.
âFeels like Iâm back at the entrance to the Underworld.â
He laughed lightly to himself, stepping away from the pit. He could almost see a bunch of slimy Underworld monsters pouring out of it. Theyâd probably feel right at home here. But not him. He was, uh... Kind of not liking this place. Heâd have preferred to get dropped off somewhere else, with more people and less ominous. So it was really a shame that he had no idea where he was or how to get somewhere else.
i never finished uprising huhâŚ
