Here’s another post I’ve been sitting on for months: a full size chart showing all the current dragon breeds + Centaur, Raptorik, Corven, Longneck, and Harpy. These are as close to their canon proportions and scales as I have the patience to get them. This accounts for tail and neck ratios rather than just using raw length. The beastclan sizes are based on an admittedly vague Dev QnA answer from years ago. 

I know tumblr hates wide images so stand by and check the notes for the full sized version + any updates/corrections.

I separated the f-pose Aberration base into two halves for artists to use!

I figured that there would be people besides me who thought “oh hey a split version of this for skins and accents would be sweet” so it should hopefully save a bit of hassle.

Isolated elemental halos! I don’t believe this was done yet, and after working on them for a little bit, I can see why! This was a pain.

Would anyone be interested in hatchlings like these? Fuchsia/Nightshade with a tert range of Terracotta/Carrot/Fire, so the Fire ones would have capsule and the other tertiary colored hatchlings would not.

is there a color coded resource that I can use to find material/other items for icons to use in bios? I’m doing my beach theme dragons and it’s a n i g h t m a r e trying to find ‘warm sand’ feeling items to put in there. ;;

This started out as “what I thought Ringlets was at first glance” (and what I kind of wish it was…) but I went a bit overboard and now it looks more like an accent than a fake tert (and its coverage is, somehow, only 26%). Oop :V

So, here it is in four colours – the blue one is designed to match on-site cyan, the light one cream (iirc), and the dark one black. The brown one doesn’t match any on-site colour.

We already have Bar, so Barred is too close – Bands or Brindle, perhaps.

Hey everyone! My auto-formatting bio is back, and better than ever. Presenting: Modular 2.0! Now with even more customization, and actual checkboxes!

The full format is pretty long and I’d rather not spam your dashes, so you can find a live preview of the full bio here. It comes with five whole sections, which can be added and removed at will. Each section is self contained, picking which ones to use is as simple as checking the box. Not a fan of the all-caps titles? Looking to use a slightly different set of stats? Want to play with the accent font? You can edit all of that directly in the spreadsheet, no code spelunking required. (Really, please don’t, it’s a mess and you’ll hurt your eyes.)

Study of the Dragon Heights: Visual Results

My study is completed! Or, I still need to write it down and post it to forums, but I wanted to see it in action first :D Pardon the bad quality I am working with MS Paint since I don’t know how to use any other programs…

But, here are the dragons in their actual sizes comparing to each other. The most surprising things for me was that mirrors are so tiny! And that ridgebacks are very close to imperials in size. I used average lenghts of each breed and resized the image according to the data I collected in my study.

Body lenghts: Coatl 8m // Guardian 15m // Spiral 4m // Fae 1m // Pearlcatcher 6m // Imperial 25m // Skydancer 5m // Tundra 4m // Bogsneak 6m // Nocturne 5m // Snapper 5m // Wildclaw 5m // Ridgeback 17m // Mirror 6m

For a human scale The Snapper and The Wildclaws heads shoud be at approximately 2 metres that translates to 6 ’ 7 “ or so.

Oooooo shiny New project: art assets for bios based on coliseum venues! And of course I want to go a little beyond cropping the official art into dividers and banners: I’ve recoloured a bunch of items and item thumbnails, added some art of my own, and added a hex colour palette so you can match your [color] tags to the images.  More info and links  HERE
