At last, our arm is complete again.
It's getting worse. Untended to, the strings of the bubble are pulling themselves at a rapid rate, opening itself up to the world outside and damaging the delicate balance inside, knocking it almost completely askew. Entire days repeating, running backwards the further away from the four key support pillars - Houston, a certain uncharted island, New York City, and Maple Valley one goes.
Worse still, the details of the nameless human memories are becoming fainter, blurrier around the edges. Like a photograph that's sat too long in the open, the cellophane too old to properly hold the image. Fading into the background as it stutters and stops around them.
But possibly worst of all are the distant echo of sounds from beyond the sky, familiar snarling barks and whispers of a garbled, inhuman tongue. The heavy, familiar pressure that something is out there, waiting for the thin skin of protection to break.

What are the terms for reserving a character?
Terms currently are very loose as there isn't a lot of competition for cast space! As of now I'm willing to 'hold' a character slot for a certain person for about 2 ~ 3 weeks while they put together an application. After the three week mark, I'm going to assume they've forgotten.
During this time, if any conflicting apps come in for a character that's been "reserved" I will politely set them aside with a small note that we are currently holding the position for someone. If that makes sense!
The bubble had never been made to hold traffic. The walls were thin and barely permeable -- made to contain, not to allow traffic in and out or even to withstand the burst of aspect related powers that had just shaken the mountains of New York.
It was already straining to hold the people within it, but the strain had worn it thin and the threads holding it together were already so taut that all it took was that extra strain, the extra push to the atmosphere for them to begin popping. Right down one neatly sewn edge, the first corners coming apart as the thread began unraveling. As the precious threads of memories began to work against themselves, doubling back and feeding into one another and disappearing all together.
This was not the subtle breakage of before -- not thin patches to be covered. This was a break, of time running backwards for minutes at a time. People stuck in a continual looping action like records skipping. Places where even the air was stagnant and frozen in time.
There's something wrong. There's always been something wrong, really, in the subtly unsettling way of a good film. Something off that you can't put your fingers onto -- only it's beginning to become less subtle.
It's still small, a growing sort of horror testing out its legs for the first time. Tiny anomalies in the carefully familiar fabric of time -- people freezing in place for a second too long, small animals moving from one place to another in the span of a blink without really visibly moving at all. Imperceptible flows of water running backwards for a few seconds before righting themselves.
Family members repeating lines that they've already spoken, and then acting surprised when you remind them they've already said that. Just a few seconds ago, in fact.
Tiny hiccups, tiny glitches. Nothing to be worried about, really, after all.
It's not like you sleep much, it could all just be in your head. Right?
