Ruptura: An umbrella term for genders related to complicated breakups. This could mean long, difficult, ones where the feelings haven’t completely faded, or whatever else the user defines as difficult. This term is not inherently a Xenogender, Kenochord, or under any other umbrella, though it can overlap.
Common themes, connections, and experiences in Ruptura genders include:
Lovesickness for one or more exes
Other decayed, destroyed, or otherwise degraded symbols of love and affection (plushies with the stuffing ripped out, for another example)
Certain breakup songs (quick examples, Snuff - Slipknot, Wild Is the Wind - Bon Jovi, Save Your Tears - The Weeknd)
General sadness and melancholy
Feeling as though your gender is messy and complicated
Smudged and/or running makeup
however, Ruptura genders don’t have to be related to any of these things. The term can be seen as similar to Saudania and/or Anemoire, though they aren’t inherently related nor the same thing.
The name comes from the Frech word for breakup, rupture
