You're not really supposed to try and piece coherent lore together for Sky COTL just based off what's in the game itself which is precisely why i love doing it. due to the greed and hubris of those in power a corruptive force of darkness was unleashed that destroyed the world and killed all its inhabitants. we, the lingering spirits left behind from this collapse, are stuck in the broken land that remains and cannot reach the heavens on our own. in order to undo their mistakes and give hope back to us, the gods have created a new race of essentially angels who can steward us to heaven and bit by bit restore light to the broken world. anyway after everybody ascended to a higher plane the first time the shock and trauma of being dead kinda wore off and we got bored and went back down to the ruined world to hang out with the angels. so now we're more or less just undergoing disaster recovery while also being dead. My friend is spending their afterlife making furniture for the angels and having a fantastic time. The more the angels interact with us the more the angels become like people and they're very cute. they will copy your clothes and haircut. it's a compliment. Gender does not exist within anyone except for 2 entities: The Little Prince (yes, that one) and Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA who may or may not be God

I could make two separate posts, but I'm too impatient. Here are some sketches I painted trying to find a way to paint quickly… it took me all afternoon to paint them, and I procrastinated because of it.

I still haven't decided how to draw Orion's nose and face shape. I have a very clear vision of his features that I can't seem to translate into a drawing.

That's exactly why I always draw these characters at the same height and in the same position… I realized that yesterday, haha. Maybe I should continue with the idea of the favorite spirits of the rest of the gang; the one from Berk is really funny.
