Are we ever going to get any sense of justice for the James/harry situations?? I don't think James should get off lightly and get with his teacher who wouldn't mind? Like gross. & harry isn't as affected by it as he should be and that's hollyoaks fault. Even if hollyoaks failed to portray it properly, that doesn't take away from the fact it was non-consensual bc harry was not in the right mind set. I hope people don't forget how James pressured him. Hopefully Tony can do something about this.

OMG I love you, ok YES. The objective part of me watches Harry and doesn’t see a traumatised teen at all, but a scheming adult who should be held accountable for his actions. He doesn’t seem affected, said, “I’m not nervous” about having sex a 2nd time, and managed to con James into giving his dad a job. I HATE Hollyoaks for having Harry react this way. What James did was disgusting, and we should have seen that reflected in Harry’s behaviour. Now, the only person who knows the truth is Ste, who’s obviously too hurt to stand up for Harry properly. The only thing that gives me hope is that Tony needs to discover the truth about how he really lost The Hutch (that secret is too juicy to not come out right?), so he needs to be the one to give Harry a voice and help Harry recognise that he was abused. Sorry, I’m very opinionated, passionate & biased about this if you can’t tell LOL

I wholeheartedly agree, I wish HO would stop using storylines that are at least controversial to just further the plot when there isn’t any intention to adress them properly. I still don’t get how they can have Pete/Cleo at the same time as part of an awareness campaign but are absolutely fine with Harry/James. And don’t get me started on Harry’s “character development”, it still doesn’t make much sense to me, why was he so determined to protect his “secrets”, if he really thought he could sort it with Ste in a few days and that Tony will forgive him eventually anyway, grrr.

A James Nightingale fan/Ste hater said that Ste is holding Harry back from his academic potential. I can think of 4 scenes in which Ste wants 1. sex 2. Harry to cover his trial shift 3. Harry to come to his hospital appointment and 4. Harry to have a meal with him instead of letting Harry revise. Ste supported Harry in taking the American scholarship, and Harry said Ste gives him passion to succeed, but I can't help but see a pattern. What do you think?

If Harry is going to be absolved of allresponsibility for his own life I’d say that James is the one who has had adeleterious effect on him, not Ste.  WhenSte asked Harry to cover his shift I had trouble grasping the alleged urgencyof Harry’s schoolwork when he had spent the previous night entertaining James’advances and that day encouraging them. He didn’t seem too busy then. But nomatter what is actually going on on-screen, according to certain individualsSte will always be at fault. 

Harry’s schoolwork is his responsibility.Ste is not his father. No matter how recent his entry into adulthood, the factremains; Harry is an adult. I won’t infantilize him. Just as Ste is heldaccountable for his every action, I hold Harry accountable for his. Ste has fartoo much baggage that is actually his to bear. I refuse to place Harry’sactions on him too.

James obviously had a successful academic education and still turned into a despicable and may I say pathetic human being who still is very much a mummy’s boy. That said I agree that Harry shouldn’t need his boyfriend to be some kind of mentor  to look after him. Harry once said he wants Ste to be proud of him and I think this is what I expect to be the incentive a loving relationship should provide.

They’re not in the spoilers for the next fortnight. There’s some Marnie/Diane/Tony and James/JP/Scott/Sally. I’m guessing Harry will be back the week of 27th June for Pete’s trial.

Probably wrong, but i think harry will change his mind at the last minute, ironically it will be too late as the damage as already been done as ste finds out about the other lies.

For Harry’s sake (and mine) I would hope that he doesn’t. But this is Hollyoaks. Would they really resist the opportunity to deliver another low blow . I thought Harry wouldn’t go there the first time, so I’m preparing myself to be let down again. Sadly Harry’s characterization doesn’t make much sense to,me lately.

It maybe clutching at straws but in the spoiler pics of the reopening of the “Hutch” Tony doesn’t seem to be there as an employee anyway. But that could also mean that Tony turned down the offer to work there or that Ste got the job from Marnie first. .

I'll be honest, the new spoilers make me side eye Harry something fierce. I don't understand why it sounds like he doesn't tell Ste unless he lies to him again but, this time about asking James a favour. The thing that really bugs me is that they are taking a coupling and really messing with it. I'm hoping that they'll bounce back. I just want the stories to be a little bit of personal and relationship growth, Starry has so much potential, is that dumb?

The drug storyline will either make or break them. Hopefully it makes starry and we get some relationship growth and development.

I’m holding on to the fact their is no information to suggest the james thing is anything but one off. The spoilers for june are a plot devise for ste to find out about the prostitution.

If their were long term plans for james/harry, James would not be flirting with john paul next week. i think jame role is to cause drama at moment rather than be a love interest for anyone.

I would even go as far as to say everything lately is a plot device to get Ste on meth.

I almost feel sorry for Harry as a character, who has to cheat and lie to push Ste over the edge with a little help of Cameron.

For what reason other than for Kieron to shine as an actor I have no clue since another addiction sl seems quite repetitive.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that there are no plans to break up Starry for good any time soon.

Still wish I could skip to the end of this sl.

Harry is just a silly teen who doesn't know the difference between right and wrong

I disagree, harry definitely knows the difference between right and wrong. Maybe he likes the attention, maybe he’s in shock after what happened (lol probably not bit of a stretch) or its just down to bad writing. probably just bad writing. This just feels so random and unexplained and like its throwing away all the buildup of starry and how much harry has shown to love him over the past months. It doesn’t make sense to me that harry would suddenly be fine betraying ste like that and then keeping it from him. or why/how he’s interested in james who isn’t even nice to him and is using him when he has a happy loving relationship with ste. Sorry this is long lol. but overall harry is smart and usually pretty moral so this just doesn’t make much sense.

I’m not entirely sure why Harry is thrilled about James’ attention or why he likes it when he loves Ste. Maybe it would make more sense if there was build up to it and James wasn’t just randomly thrown into the story. Like the obstacle should have been introduced at the beginning of the homeless storyline with Harry leaning on someone else trying to go from having things to nothing.

Because the plot requires it. To be honest I actually think they want to tell a story about how dangerous it is for a teenager to give in to the allure of making quick money with sex. And it was poor Harry's name they drew out of a hat. Damn the consequences.

But even if harry has feelings for James, it's not worth ruining his relationship with Ste over?:(:( I think harry just wants to move on from his situation with James but I agree, too soon. He is young, he may not realise the seriousness of sleeping with someone for money. Especially if he thinks he did it for Ste. But I worry about Ste :( when he finds out & harry going missing! Where do you think he goes?

Maybe Marnie & the loan shark kidnap Harry? Maybe Harry says ‘no’ when James asks Harry to convince Tony to sell, so Marnie (or James!) takes desperate measures? I’m dying for more spoilers tbh!!! :)

Maybe deep down Harry blames Ste for what he thought he did for him. It probably makes him feel better thinking that James likes him for more than just sex. Which James definitely doesn't, I'm sure Harry has no idea what he got himself into.

I'm actually baffled how they managed to ruin Harry's character in a couple of episodes. But that's Hollyoaks, where characterisation is thrown out of the window whenever it doesn't suit the plot.

I have actually no idea how Harry's character can be salvaged. Possibly with Ste nearly drowning and Harry obviously  being harassed probably into more hustling it might be a wake-up call for Harry.

But the question is will I still care?

Harry being written really badly in my opinion. You would think sleeping with james for money would have some affect on him. Instead he is completely happy with ste and enjoying james giving him attention.
