A few months ago, these flowers existed only in my imagination and in a pile of colorful pipe cleaners on my desk.
I spent hours bending wires, shaping petals, fixing mistakes, and trying again until each flower looked just right. Eventually, I decided to take a small leap and put up my very first street stall.
To be honest, I was nervous.
I arranged every handmade flower carefully, hoping people would stop and take a look. The colors looked beautiful under the evening lights, and I felt proud seeing my work displayed outside for the first time.
Then the customers started coming.
Some people walked by without even looking.
Some slowed down, glanced for a second, and continued walking.
A few picked up the flowers, asked the price, smiled, and left.
At first, every time someone walked away, I wondered if my work was good enough.
But as the evening went on, I started noticing something important.
People were smiling.
Children pointed at the colorful flowers.
Friends stopped to discuss which color they liked best.
Many people were surprised when they learned the flowers were handmade from pipe cleaners.
Even when they didn’t buy anything, they spent a moment appreciating something I had created with my own hands.
And then came the first sale.
It wasn’t just about earning money.
It was the feeling that something I made from simple materials had found a place in someone else’s life.
That single moment made all the hours of work worth it.
Running a small handmade business teaches you patience.
Not everyone will buy.
Not everyone will stop.
But every conversation, every compliment, every curious question, and every customer who chooses your work gives you the motivation to keep creating.
This stall was just the beginning of the journey for FloraArt.
