hi so uh there IS a reason why they cant talk about winwin; its due to the hallyu ban

if you don’t know what the hallyu ban is its basically china’s retaliation for south korea siding with the us over nuclear weapons. since china is a very profitable market for korean wave/kpop music, china decided to hit korea where it hurts and prevent any k-pop coming through into the country. though the ban has been lifted slightly in recent years, it’s still there. entertainment agencies in korea are finding loopholes tho (like partnering with labels to debut chinese artists (ex: wayv and label v), making a seperate idenitity for idols (ex: jackson wang vs got7’s jackson, lay vs exo’s lay), etc.)

I hope you guys read this before bashing anyone. The staffs are human too they have feelings. And they are torn between receiving penalty from the company and receiving hateful comments from fans. This is something real that happens and unchangeable between the two countries so lets just focus on supporting the boys wherever they are.

We understand that the members can forget esp dreamies, man they are kids and the staffs are doing that because it's urgent it's all about law. Who will be responsible if something bad happens because they are considered violating the current regulation? Fans? No. The company, the division, the manager, and all of the staffs responsible for the video.

I know it sounds rude to announce that while recording but c'mon friends, just see that as a caution for the kids to be more careful and to keep their job and position. Their country's situation is more complicated than what it looks like so let's just be more considerate.

I- I am disgusted. We are seriously behaving like this crazy ass fandom, like… it’s so toxic. Lately, there’s been so much going on and it’s sickening. I don’t know when we are going to understand that artists don’t owe anything to us. They are not “famous bc of us”, we need to leave that “if it wasn’t for us, they wouldn’t be here” bullshit behind. They pour their souls into every song and choreography they make, isn’t that enough? Why do we always want more and more and more?!

Like, seriously? Chasing Haechan down the hall of his hotel, making him fear for his life cause you think he owes you fan service? Making the boy who just got off a long ass hiatus cause he was INJURED, the boy who worked so hard to handmake bracelets for us, yet we went out and sold them as if his love is something we can profit off.

It is NOT “his job to give fan service” 24/7, he is a HUMAN BEING who needs to rest like the rest of us. Y’all out here thinking being an artist is all about fun and parties and expensive clothes, while artists are busting their asses working on stuff they feel proud of only to have people shit on it every damn time. Just cause you buy all of their music and merch does not give you any right over their lives. 

Doyoung can like whoever he wants, stop shitting on him for liking Ariana’s music. Yes, she is problematic (in my opinion), but it is his choice to like her. Just cause you might not like her doesn’t mean he shouldn’t. Also, stop assuming he said something he probably didn’t know. While he might’ve actually meant that she is attractive, English is not his first language so there might’ve been a mistranslation. And if he does think she’s attractive, so what?? Let him like whoever he wants.

Calling Jaehyun ‘Jeffrey’ is not okay. I get that people say “it is his nickname” or whatever, but nicknames are for people close to you to use. We do not have a personal relationship with any of them, his name is Jaehyun. Period.

Mark is not stupid, stop making him feel bad because of the way he sometimes speaks English. Half of yall making fun of him only speak one language, being bilingual is hard asf, sometimes you don’t even know in what language you’re supposed to speak. Leave him alone and stop making him feel stupid.

Lately, all we do is complain and complain claiming it’s because of them, but in reality all we complain about comes back to us. “WE haven’t seen any interactions.”; “WE want Sicheng back in 127.″; “WE want a wayv comeback.”; “WE want this.”; “WE want that.” it’s always us, us, us, us, and us. When are we going to stop being insane and actually start caring about the boys without wanting to get something out of it?

No more fan wars! Periodt.

We aren’t crying if our idols start dating, heck we’ll be their biggest supporters this year!

Somebody gained weight? Okay we still stan.

Somebody is tired and takes a hiatus? Cool…we still stan!

Someone in the group gets a bigger spotlight than our bias? We WON’T take out our frustration on them.

They go live on VLive? We aren’t asking about anyone else unless they pop up on screen too.

We’re embracing new fans and taking them under our wings.

We will still stream but we won’t be annoying about it. (Less annoying)

You don’t like girl groups? That’s fine with me.

You don’t like boy groups? Do you, I ain’t mad at u.

“Cute concepts are annoyin-” Next…you don’t have to announce it.

“Dark concepts are over don-” Stop, thank you for your input, but we didn’t need it.

If we don’t agree with an idols beliefs we won’t shame them because we realize we were raised differently.

We’ll forgive idols who fail us, because they are human too and we all make mistakes.

We won’t support unfair practices or abusive companies.

We won’t ship members that don’t like it.

We will allow our idols to age and mature, and not be trapped in a box.

We aren’t going to stalk anyone, or release their personal information.

We aren’t going to try and glamorize any tragedies and will be as respectful as possible.

We’re going to be proud of how far our groups have come and recognize how hard they work.

We’re going to cheer for the ones who win!

We’re going to cheer for the ones who lose!

We will learn Korean if we want to, and won’t be labeled a Koreaboo.

We won’t learn anything if that’s our heart’s desire, and just enjoy the music and feel no judgement.

We will let our idols leave their groups and do what they want to do.

We will embrace new members and not reject them.

We are going to support each other just as much as we support our idols.

We are going to be positive and encouraging.

We will stand by idols struggling with their identity and mental health.

We will applaud those who stand up and bring change for the better.

We will unite and erase the negativity because all of our groups spread love and we will finally spread it right back.

We won’t just be a fandom…We’ll be a family and we’ll keep working to make Kpop reach even greater heights than it did this past year!
