conventionally attractive, with large hazel eyes, sunshine for hair, && a bombshell figure. everything about the girl reads WARMTH. while she holds an evident CLASSIC beauty, childhood in age of heroin chic results in a constant underlying insecurity (something that fades with age, but never fully abandons her). her posture is result of an (at times) overbearing mother, who tapped her shoulders any time hint of slouch showed. this, paired with a larger than life personality, makes her seem much taller than her 5′5″ frame.
before her time with the doctor, rose accessorized heavily. fond of sunglasses that obscure half her face, regardless of their shade, & chunky jewelry. as she traveled, these decorations proved incompatible & dangerous with newfound lifestyle. the sunglasses are kept in a box, should they ever need to make a guest appearance. she refuses to abandon her hooped earrings, though.
she has begun to collect lapel pins from wherever they stop (if applicable) and keeps them on an old pair of denim shorts. some, like the sewing machine she picked up in paris, are appreciated purely based on aesthetic value. others, like the vintage mickey mouse she snagged as they left disney land, are possessed on novelty alone. she’s been chastised for ‘ abusing her knowledge, as a time traveler ‘ as she bought a USSR pin with a loud laugh.
she’s a very GIRLY style, most easily compared to late 90s fashion. she’s a walking homage to her childhood. that being said, she dresses far more conservatively than popularized for the time. her pants are baggy, and she’s always in a jacket or cardigan. her color scheme is where femininity makes itself loudly known, with bright pinks, blues, & whites dominating wardrobe. her closet is filled with staple & easy to pair items (primarily white tee’s and boyfriend jeans). despite this, she thoroughly enjoys dressing in period clothing, should the occasion call for it.
previous sandals & heels are dismissed in favor of practicality. she’s gotten a trusty pair of white converse ( & had a loud laugh the first day she & the doctor’s footwear matched ) that have since become a dirty sort of cream. when bored, she’ll take a sharpie to the fabric & inscribe song lyrics or hearts & stars.
her hair is shoulder length, and she can’t remember the last time she’s brushed it. rather than let it hang around her neck, she ties it up with whatever scrunchie or scarf she can find. still, side swept bangs fall into her face, often with less than ideal timing.
makeup is minimal, primarily resting on heavy mascara & obscene amounts of cherry lip gloss. if the situation calls, she’ll branch out to a monochromatic eyeshadow & winged eyeliner. her nails are well manicured, rounded & short, & her hands are soft. she prefers to keep them painted, and has attempted to learn nail art more times than rose would care to admit.
all in all, she’s found a style that seems TIMELESS. it carries a nostalgia for some of her favorite films, like uptown girls & clueless, though is admittedly toned down from initial inspiration. much of the fashion she adored in younger years is ditched for safety’s sake.
