You couldn't imagine a better way to spend your new years than in sunny Morocco, even if it was for a team training camp.
The moment you stepped off the plane, Zecira by your side, the heat hit you like a ton of bricks. Yet you loved it. You could already envision the tan you'd have by the end of the week.
"Oh Z, I can feel the tan already," you giggled to your teammate, sticking your arms out in front of you to soak up the sun.
Zecira chuckled, walking ahead of you as you continued to gush about the good weather. It was nothing like the weather in England.
The training grounds the team would be staying at had the perfect view of the ocean, you didn't even care that you'd have to do all of these grueling training exercises, as long as you got to go for a swim after you were happy.

"Jessie says you're her roommate, and I haven't been roomies with Jessie in so long!" Sam whined. It wasn't an answer to your question, but you accepted the response regardless. Sam practically jumped for joy as you took the key, bouncing back over to Jessie, and a rather big group of girls, to tell her the good news.
You found that it always seemed like this team was plotting something. You were still new, but you felt like they were always plotting an elaborate plan without you. It made you feel a little left out sometimes.
Nevertheless, you left your suitcases and gear with the staff and changed into your training kit to start your first session.
You knew training in this sort of heat would be difficult, but you were sweating from every pore of your body by the end of it.
You just wanted to get back to your room and collapse into bed. Even a shower felt like too much effort.
You grabbed your bags, and the keycard Sam had swapped with you, heading towards your new room.
You understood when you walked in why Sam wanted to swap. She'd been the teammate who ended up with a room on her own. Sam liked to have someone to room with on camp. You, however, were giddy at the idea of having a room and bed all to your own.
Until you noticed someone else's bags hanging out in the corner and found the bathroom door opening to the one person you'd been avoiding since Christmas.
"Oh fuck off," Niamh grumbled to herself, you scoffed at her words.
"You're upset? I thought I had a room to myself," you snapped back, collapsing onto the double bed.
"Ew, get off my bed you're all sweaty," Niamh groaned, making a face at the way you splayed across the whole bed.
"Niamh... there's only one bed," you said, as if it was the first time you were noticing it.
"You think I don't know that, I'll throw you down a blanket and you can sleep on the floor," Niamh spoke matter of factly, already grabbing the spare blanket from the bottom of the bed.
"Oh, so sex with me in your childhood home is fine, but sharing a bed with me is too much?" You sassed back, stretching out even more.

You thought about stumbling out some excuse or even an apology, but you weren't brave enough. You just got up off her bed and threw your t-shirt over your head, getting ready to go to bed. After a realisation like that, you thought it was better off you slept on the floor.
"Take your tracksuits off as well," Niamh spoke firmly as she watched you like a hawk.
"Really?" You chided, eyebrow raised at her.
"I'm not mad enough to pass up the chance to fuck you again," she shrugged as you shimmied out of your trousers.
You could deny it all you wanted, but you'd do anything the brunette told you to. That was half the reason you'd been avoiding her since her family's Christmas dinner.
"Come here," she ushered, hands grabbing your bare thighs, pulling you to stand between her legs as she sat on the bed. Her hands roamed your whole body, as if she wasn't already heavily acquainted with it.
She sat you down on her lap, fingers tracing your jaw before her lips finally met your own. Her kisses a lot less frenzied than usual, the whole room had a completely different atmosphere than your usual 'hookups'. You leaned into her, desperate for her to touch you as both her hands cupped your jaw.
"God all this ignoring me, and you're still as desperate as ever," she laughed, gently kissing down your jaw, sucking at your neck.
"One would think you have a little crush on me, giving me yet another chance," you retorted, squeaking as her teeth sank into where she'd previously been sucking on your neck.
"Now, who would think that?" She whispered as she licked over your salty skin, your head falling back with a loud sigh.
Before you knew it, you were on your back underneath her. Her lips peppering soft kisses all over your upper body, then returning to your own lips, leaving them swollen and red.
You grasped at the English player, pulling her closer to you, whining as she pulled away. She rolled to the other side of the bed, throwing her own shirt off before settling into bed.
"What?" You gasped out, in disbelief at the way she picked up a book from her bed stand as if nothing happened.
"You've survived without me since Christmas, I'm sure you'll survive another night," she teased. You should have known she'd be getting her revenge.
You thought it would be much easier to ignore your feelings for each other if you pretended Christmas never happened and avoided her for a little, but you quite literally couldn't resist the brunette. It was a sobering thought, given you'd gone from taunting her on the pitch to begging for her attention.
