I can see Lan Wangji being a Ethrealki, specifically a tidemaker, just fits the vibes. Extra drama is him being Grisha in secret because of the stigma and having a Jesper Fahey-esque situation with Lan Qiren.

Anyway I don't think Jin Zixuan and Jin Guangyao ever bonded for various reasons but I do think there were occasions in Carp Tower where Jin Guangshan would just say something. Something. Which would invariably be both stupid and also piss off Madam Jin. And then JZX and JGY would just make eye contact in mutual exhaustion because JGY is now going to get screamed at by Madam Jin and JZX is going to have to put out that fire again. lowkey having so much fun with my mdzs au where all the prev generation come together to discuss their kids progress in school in a modern au of business owners and old money drama (with the exception of the Wei family).

Madam Jin is the prom queen turned neglected wife who is bordering on alcoholism, Cangse Sanren is an unhinged defense lawyer who is having a screaming match with Madam Yu, an equally unhinged and ruthless prosecutor, Madam Lan and Qingheng-jun are the duo who seem refined and sophisticated but they both are secretly very worried parents since their 2nd son has requested for the same birthday theme for the past 10 years (bunnies) and show no interest in actually inviting anyone, everyone agrees that Wen Ruohan's kids are the worst and everyone never fails to indirectly mention it so, and Wei Changze is a freelance painter who brings food to every meeting and is trying to avoid his former boss' (Jiang Fengmain) yearning gaze, and also the only person that anyone in the meetings can actually tolerate. They all have lingering drama from their years together in school and it is bleeding into their PTA meetings.
