D = Dirty Secret (Pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs) 

While this is pretty tame by today’s standards, Eugene’s biggest dirty secret in regards to his sex life is probably that he’d be totally willing to try BDSM with the right partner. He enjoys the thrill and the rush of being dominated, and he’d like to explore that aspect more if he gets the chance. Obviously, taking that step would require a good bit of trust to be built up beforehand.

Though he doesn’t expect it from his partners most of the time, Eugene himself is a very cuddly person. He understands that some people aren’t like that, so he doesn’t force anything. But in general, he enjoys being held and holding his partner. Eugene tends to lose himself in the throes of passion more than he likes to admit. He’s so quiet and reserved most of the time, so when he’s presented with the chance to really let loose, he’ll most likely take it. He’s so eager to please, and he’ll do just about anything his partner asks of him.

Unfortunately, despite appearances, Eugene simply isn’t as young as he used to be. And since he generally doesn’t actually sleep around much, his overall stamina is somewhat low. He tends not to last too long, and he can realistically only go for one or two rounds. That being said, however, even when he’s finished, he has absolutely no problem with continuing to pleasure his partner until they’re satisfied.

It’s not really something Eugene thinks about very often. Mostly because he’s just too busy with work and parenting to make time for certain other needs. However, it does tend to spike significantly when he’s drunk (or even tipsy, really), which is why he doesn’t really drink much.      Admittedly, Eugene had been unsure how receptive she would be to the gesture. After all, apart from the occasional run-in at a barbecue or yard-sale, the two of them seldom interacted with each other. Though he thought this as good a time as any to remedy that-- she’s always seemed like a nice person to him, if somewhat distant.

     Eugene’s expression appeared to brighten up considerably at the mention of his daughter’s name. He often struggled to strike up casual conversations with people who he didn’t know very well, but it seemed that talking about their children was always a good way to break the ice.

❛ She’s seventeen. Isn’t that something? I can hardly believe she’s a senior in high school now. ❜

     He gave a quiet laugh. Honestly, it made him feel pretty old-- but in a good way! Nothing brought him more pride than seeing his daughter grow up into such a kind, compassionate young woman.

𝐇𝐂. Eugene is a social introvert.

Contrary to popular belief, Eugene doesn’t share the aversion to social events people typically associate with introversion. Instead, he’s introspective, thoughtful, and self-reflective. He operates at a slightly slower pace, preferring to think before he speaks or acts. 

He actively desires social interaction, but he also knows that it will drain him considerably. He loves birthday parties, big dinners, and family reunions, even though he knows that he will need recovery time afterward. He also does not view “recovery time” – aka time to be alone – as “anti-social” time. After all, you wouldn’t label going to the gas station as “anti driving” time, so the same applies here. He’s just recharging.

It takes so much energy to approach new people and come up with pleasantries. Oftentimes, Eugene will find himself desperately wanting to meet new people, while at the same time being unsure how to start up a conversation. That’s why any organized, activity-oriented group outing is heaven. Any chance to be surrounded by people — especially people who all have something in common — and doing something together is wonderful, especially when the burden of starting up conversation out of nowhere doesn't exist.

However, this also means that sometimes he can become a bit too much of a tagalong to his more extroverted friends. And there are times where he really just likes to observe. It doesn’t mean that he’s being antisocial or wants to be left alone. Sometimes, it really is just fun to watch the rest of the world operate.
