Alright sooo. The origin of this fic comes from me really liking sitcoms as a kid, lol. I really enjoyed friends growing up, as well as the nanny (which is also a fic idea, but we're not going to get into that lol)

I began to throw around the idea with Fish and Z that Charles and Edwin could live across the hall from Crystal and Niko in a kind of friends way when I was revisiting the ABC show baby daddy. I was like what if Edwin and Charles were gay Joey and Chandler with baby ben but the baby was actually related to one of them.

So I started going into the specifics of like, well what would the baby look like, how would the situation go about, what the baby would be called, and on and on. Like seriously, i have a lot of this fic flushed out its kind of hysterical I just started writing it

So basically I just:

'It's Time I Tried' for the ask game? 👀

Okay, so this is one of my wips that I actually have no words for but a lot of the ideas which is insane because priorities, I guess? lol

So, this is a story loosely based off a post I saw where in your last moments before you die, you either get transported through time or frozen in time until your soulmate finds you. There's a number of ways I could go about this but I'll tell you only one variation I thought about.

Just the thought of Edwin in his last few moments of the sacrifice turning to stone instead of turning to dust, and the demon can't do anything so he leaves him there. Edwin's statue being transported to the attic once he's found, and him staying there until 1989 when Charles hides after the lake.

I like all ideas a lot sooooo I've having a difficult time as to which one I should stick to.

For the WIP ask game - Treatise! I was literally just reading it 😄

Oh that's so lovely to hear! The amount of comments and art that Treatise has gotten really warms my heart and I'm so happy people enjoy it.

As far as Treatise or The Dragonverse goes, the lore and worldbuilding is extensive. (Which is kind of my fault, on top of baselines of D&D I just kept adding and adding to it) We have almost the entire series and several oneshots planned out, but we've been falling behind on posting lately because me and my co-creator Fish are still in college.

Some of my favorite things haven't even been hinted at or introduced! But I will say I'm very excited to get into the raising of the dragonets, mythology of the universe, and go beyond Edwin's cave in the coming chapters.

okay i would actually looove for charles to be like 2-3cm taller than edwin, but them just not realising for like /decades/ right? and then one day on a case they are like crammed into a space that is so tight that they are pressed against each other from head to toe and boom: charles notices that his eyes are actually looking straight at edwin’s eyebrows. and he tells edwin so (because „how odd“), who tells /him/ that „this is not the time for such blatant observations, charles!“ and charles locks back in and helps free them but he also dog ears the thought for later.

and then when they are back at the office, charles asks edwin to stand in front of him to test his theory. at first, they are the same height, but then charles fixes his posture and goes from casually slouching to standing up straight and boom: height difference. just slightly, but both of them realise it and edwin’s eyes turn wide.

and that’s the story of how charles fixed his posture only years after he has already died.

he also thinks that being so close to edwin in that tight space was kinda nice, but he only really understands those implications years later

Finally finished coloring the eggnant sketches. Hiding under the cut just to be safe, even though it's not reaaalllly NSFW? Idk man.

There's just something sooo funny to me remembering that in the fic, these two are gonna be together for like...hundreds of years. And if Edwin is THIS much of a freak when Charles gets eggnant the FIRST time, I can only IMAGINE how much worse he'll get as they get older.

Eds going Full Scholar, getting his husband knocked up and taking diligent notes each time, noting any variables, how they can make the process better, etc. It's not a competition, but he fully intends to win the "Most Successful Mating Clutches With A Human" lifetime achievement award.

Charles "From Sacrifice to Housewife" Rowland, absolutely chillin', getting to just...get creampied and play with rowdy dragon hatchlings for the rest of his life. Who needs to worry about silly human things like taxes and war and The Plague? Give him some DIY home reno projects, a good dickin', and he's ACES.
