In Need of a Friend || Hart and Elli
Elli chuckled at Hart. “Sure, sure.” She told him, still holding a sleeping cat in her arms. She nodded at his conditions, still smiling widely. “I am not a bad influence!” She exclaimed, her eyes wide as she looked at Hart.
“You’re just a sucker for cute animals.” She added after a moment, chuckling at the cat. She blinked when Hart mentioned a name. “You’ve already come up with a name?” She asked as the woman went around the counter and started pulling up all the paper work.
“Yeah, you’ll need to give her a name now, I’m afraid. At least for our records. You can always come back and change it at any time.” The woman spoke up, explaining.
“O-Oh...” Elli started, looking down at the cat in her hands. Swallowing, she started, “What about... Nicholas?”
The cat let out a small huff and seemed to shake his head. Elli blinked.
“Smoky?” Another huff.
“Peter?” A loud huff, as if it angered him.
“Leon!” The cat lifted his head and stared at her before pointedly letting out another huff and turning his head.
“B-Binx?” She asked, running out of ideas. The cat let out a mew and started licking her arm, which felt odd to say the least. “So... Binx?” Another soft mew and he closed his eyes, apparently over it.
“I-I think I’ll go with Binx....” Elli stammered to the woman and Hart.
