ANNIEÂ HSIAO-CHINGÂ WANG
ARTIST
Nice rural private acoustic folk from Colorado.
Bob Dylan never wanted to be stereotyped. And he is always successful to live out of peopleâs expectation  This album is always an early example that when people expect him to be eccentric and prolific, he just escape and make a country albumÂ
Roy Clark and Clarence âGatemouthâ Brown shred on Duke Ellington!
High level psych-folk from 1977, Californian private release but with a sound that has more to do with UK stuff, with some Eastern influenced parts as well. Pusey is certainly a very impressive guitar player, his playing in this album is simply incredible. Thereâs only acoustic guitars, bells, gong, flute and slight percussions..but you wont need anything else. clear-spot
Virgil Finlay (American, 1914-1971)
Cuby + Blizzardsâ Trippinâ Thruâ A Midnight Blues 1968
Buddy Greco - Timeâs A Wastinâ While Youâre Gone (1965)
Not what youâd expect from a Las Vegas/Rat pack singer, but this is a very cool hard driving mod-beat tune
Tony Joe White - Polk Salad Annie
His âRainy Night in Georgiaâ was a Top 10 hit for Brook Benton in 1970, a year after Mr. White had a Top 10 hit of his own with âPolk Salad Annie.â
Tony Joe White, the Louisiana singer and songwriter who wrote Brook Bentonâs Top 10 hit âRainy Night in Georgiaâ and had a Top 10 hit of his own with âPolk Salad Annie,â died on Wednesday in Nashville. He was 75.
Pattie Boyd and Eric Clapton on board a private jet, USA, 1978
only when it rains does it rain only when it stops, it is no more all of them princes all of them gone all of them lovers in search of their own and you can look to the mountains and look to the seas but donât come calling cause you wonât find me
John Buck Wilkin
Frank Zappa asking âYou got a problem with that?â
From Guitar Player magazine, 1977. This is Frankâs rebuild of the Stratocaster guitar that Jimi Hendrix set aflame at Londonâs Astoria ten years earlier, a 1968 gift to him from one of Jimiâs roadies. The amazing story here.
The Congos - Open the Gates (1977)
From their superb LP Heart of the Congos, produced by Lee âScratchâ Perry.
Charlie Rich - The Best Years (1966)
Did you know Margaret Rich, his wife, was also an accomplished songwriter? Add some great piano playing and that voice, then itâs time to wallow in some serious regret.
