I know it’s late but this is the grooviest thing I’ve ever written and I thought the world needed to know.
I can die happy now, knowing the fank has finally passed through me.

I know it’s late but this is the grooviest thing I’ve ever written and I thought the world needed to know.
I can die happy now, knowing the fank has finally passed through me.
Looking for an easy win, I pooped out another heavily minor progression. And then spent five hours on it.
Meaning it ended up being neither easy, nor a win.
It is a head bobber though, which makes even a goofy interlude into a nice Saturday.
Title is named for the mutant Wandering Spider I found in my pants this morning.
Added to the playlist of songs that sounded way better when I hummed them on the toilet.
Still having weird platform issues, some bearing wonderful oddities, others cluttering space in predictable ways. Songs are still quiet, but I’m not so against it anymore. They’re making me want to sing, which I won’t do, but just letting you three know, it’s a sudden and increasing urge.
hey um.. do you have a soundcloud or a bandicamp ? anywhere that i can buy/listen to your music?
Oh yeah, sorry! I’ve got a bandcamp, it’s got all of my music free to steal. There’s a Soundcloud somewhere out there with my name on it, but they make it kind of hard/weird to upload albums or navigate discographies, so I’m using it to store all my dust.I’ll put a link in my description from here on out!
Needs some B-52′s-style lyrics and for Brandon to play a guitar on top. If anyone can get a hold of him, that’d be swell, he’s needed. Stayed up late last night trying out every conceivable permutation of this chord structure to try and get it to stop sounding like a lightning round on a 4am game show. Ascended to a higher plane of existence when I redid the bass line manually and switched the synth to the rhodes, then knocked my head on the glass ceiling and landed hard on my ass when I remembered that this is what I literally always do, and that it still sounds like a bonus round. The new software is a lot more sensitive to live recordings, but less friendly when it comes to cleaning up or amplifying stacks of sounds, so I’m mostly just reveling in learning all the parts individually and goofing around, hoping one day to reprogram the whole shebang into Ralph, just in case there’s something dignified under all those giggly takes.
Technically the third song I’ve written out here, but the only one I haven’t treated like a bit of a joke. It’s usually around midnight before I’ve managed to halfway untangle my mind, and the only places with power also have air that’s roughly 10% mosquito, so it’s a trick to sit through the brain-milking process - easily observable in the goof permeating the final phrase.

*edit - used some outdated software to glue it together, ‘s real real quiet, sorry
Started this sometime last semester, based off a photo of a friend sitting on a pile of suitcases in the back of a pickup truck. The umbrella was there, but the rest of it sort of ran wild, honestly because I didn’t have room for a pickup truck on the page.
Started off trying to draw a mask, but colors make everything come alive. Even a pink Prince of the Darkness. *e specially* a pink Prince of Darkness
Something really exciting happening off to the right this week The lunchbag paper saga continues...
Figure drawing stuff. Scanner doesn’t understand that you can have color and lunchbag paper happening at the same time, so he made my pinks purples and my purples magenta and my reds black and my blues dumb. I’m also technologically illiterate (which is why I’m drawing on lunchbag paper in the first place) so if you want to see some true colors you’ll have to come to my house and scratch at my door.
Lyrics and vocals courtesy of @wiedameister, caricatural mastering and mockery courtesy of restless frustration. Shouts out to Kevin, who bought a used Walkman off ebay for half a paycheck. Oh, and RIP Walkman, broken four hours after his adoption. He is survived by his destitute father, Kevin.
Original song by Louis Cole, who wrote it and I didn’t and he did, but I made this just now but he made THAT in 2011, when he wrote it and began to own it and I don’t and he does.
I don’t cover songs because I like them. I cover them because they follow me around, popping into my brain and out of my nostrils and shaking my hands and wiggling my toes and licking the insides of my ears until everything around me looks like that song and all my emotions are that song and the songs on the radio and in the commercials and on people’s ringtones are all bad covers of that song so I have to make a better one so that the universe can finally stop trying to cover that song, even if my cover is a votive candle against the sun of that song
which is really only a rabid persistence
caused
by really liking a song.
I’ll start gussying it up tomorrow, after I close my computer for the first time in six hours. I can’t really bear to do one of those ‘true’ note-for-note chip things, especially when none of my instruments are actually 8-bit, or chip, or good, so there’ll prolly be a lot more drums and instruments and notes that Louis Cole didn’t need because he didn’t have anything to compensate for.
This is literally for one person only, so if you’re not Nikki, close your ears, it’s not ready yet. *EDIT* made it better suited for yawning.
Just spilled two jars of red ink and ruined a painting and a carpet, so I’m posting the Winston Churchill song and going for a drive until I can calm down.
Got hustled by Matisse tonight
Made me look like a damn fool.
hi! I really admire you and your work!
*blushes a deep magenta*
I’ve kind of lost my socks and shoes to gratitude, to the point that I haven’t been able to conjure any sort of palatable reply in over a week now. I really only keep this page alive to know that there will always be a corner of the internet that looks a little bit like the inside of my head, but it’s easy to forget that I share it with people, with a little handful that pay attention, and a few of those who seem to enjoy doing so.
Thanks for making that reminder a good thought. It’s an idea that used to scare the salts right out of me. Now it makes me want to make more.
