Oh... how formal his introduction is, how clearly he's rehearsed it a hundred million times... this boy is clearly not lying. He is telling these great heroes of legend everything he is certain is important right off the bat and anything he left out was completely unintentional. even without voice acting, you can hear the awe trembling in his voice as he tells his tale to the heroes he's waited so long for. ralsei is so ridiculously obviously not evil that people are convinced that means he MUST be hiding a dark secret after all

Replaying deltarune in the middle of the night while absolutely zooted and it's striking me so strongly how sad it is that ralsei has lived his whole life in this tiny facsimile of an empty town, one susie thinks might be an abandoned theme park. the eerie music box like quality to the song that's playing ... it's just this empty little world, literally a dark world, where ralsei waits patiently and alone for the lightners to being light
