Half and Half | Touko & Chili
Raising his shoulders, he dismissed her offer pretty quickly as his hands lifted to the sides along with. “It’s fine, I gotta go buy some stuff anyway so what’s a couple extra bucks?” With work, not that much. As Touko walked away from the fridge, the redhead moved his attention to the fridge himself, looking over for some extra things to snack on. “Sounds pretty good, i’m cool with that.”
He flashed a grin as he turned into her direction, an obviously overexertion to her comment, that sort of comment would only be a joke for him. “Exactly.” Wandered over to check over the ingredients laid out, her comment surprised him for a second, it then being cut short as he wandered to the cooker. “You said yourself that your names pretty common, so..” Leaving an extended pause, his motive eventually cracked with a subtle noise. “I’m just kidding around, I remember you, kinda.. It’s hard to tell without the ponytail.”
She groaned a bit at his dismissal, this was becoming an unwelcome trend in her life. "A couple bucks could mean the difference between uh...a packet of gum? Uh no...what if you're at a restaurant and are a couple bucks short of that twenty percent?" What was she even saying, another groan fell from her lips—she'd become horrid at arguing since she'd arrived. "Nevermind, nevermind! I'll shut up and cook now."
There was a quick roll of her eyes at his obvious ploy, though hidden as she turned about to pull out bowls and such. "Ah! Wait! How long have you 'kinda' remembered? You couldn't 'ave said something? Geez~" She huffed as she placed a few pieces of bread out and cracked a couple of eggs into a bowl. "I'm gonna chop my hair off one day and everyone's just gonna think I died." Touko was genuinely upset that her hair seemed to always be her only redeeming factor. Food, of course, would quickly fix up her mood.
