Pastry time! || Chili & Whitney
His answer to her question remained silent on the matter, remaining on a more neutral stature, not really knowing whether it was rhetorical or not. His eyes showed a fair shot of joy to her acceptance of drinking freely with him. “Yeah, that’ll happen a lot in most places, it’s not cool when they take on more than they can handle.” Shoulders shrugging, his intake was better than people he knew, it wasn’t in his plan to get hammered anyway. Not a bad impression.
"Sounds good, what have you got in mind?" As long as it wasn’t something that leaned to romance or anything going to sci-fi, it was mostly fair game. Leaning back and raising his arms into the air, his head craned to the side in a hastened manner, a little more would have caused whiplash. Clever on his part.
It was no biggy if he didn't answer, she did often talk on and on even if the other didn't show much interest. Sort of her way to express that she was comfortable with her guest. A small smile appeared on her face, lightly rocking at her feels before walking on over to the small living room area. Taking a seat in front of the TV, she pulled out a box from the shelves, browsing through to see what she had on her.
"Oh you know, just your regular chick flick movies." She said with a small chuckle, still overly smiling at the fact of how excited he got once she agreed. Her movie choices were what were left behind from friends who'd often come over for movie nights. Genre of the movies available were all over the place, she was not so picky herself, as long as it was a good rush in them, she wouldn't have mind so much. "There are a few horror ones, thrillers, action, some cute kiddy cartoon ones and a few others." She mumbled as she looked through the pile. "Any preference?"
Sweepstakes || Whitney & Clair
Looking through the shops, Clair didn’t seem to notice Whitney having any trouble keeping up with her pace. She kept up with her long strides until she’d heard Whitney’s question. “Yes … ?” Her pace slowed to meet her once kouhai’s.
"There is," she replied. Her attention was still towards the shops, not at all finding any of them familiar. All this time here and she still couldn’t tell place from place. It was a pain, though she had a feeling that Whitney could lead her in the right direction. "I’ve gotten a ‘few’ details, but it’s a piece of jewelry," she answered vaguely.
"Jewelry?" She asked with a rather curious tone in her voice. She never really did expect her to be looking for some for of accessory, then again there was always a first time for everything. The pink-haired trainer couldn't help but want to figure it out, no matter, it would be in a matter of time before she learned more on the details.
"I can help." Whitney declared after a short time. She was fairly confident that she would be able to help to the best that she could. "Depends.. On what kind of jewelry that you want that we'll be able to check out and get what was needed. "If you want, we can go check out a jewelry store, there you can get an idea of what it is that you're looking for and if we're in luck they might have what you need."
Sweepstakes || Whitney & Clair
Clair didn’t judge. Whatever the season, normally it wouldn’t have mattered. There was always training and chores to be done around the family shrine. It was something she still wasn’t used to waking up and not doing.
"Alright." She signaled for Whitney to follow as she began to walk off. Perhaps the tickets could be some reward for accompanying her for the day. "There’s some shopping I need to do, and it would do some good to get a second opinion."
At the mention of shopping, the pink-haired girl's face lit up. It was always a fun getaway for her, something to do and she did do it quite well herself. In fact, she even found herself wandering around for hours at the department store. Plus, helping another was no problem at all. "I've heard I give a good second opinion."
Obediently following the older girl, Whitney nodded to herself before she thought of something. What was it that they were going shopping for. "Clair.." She hesitated as she kept her pace. "Is there something specifically that you're looking for?"

His head nodded in acknowledgement on her response, still keeping an eye as she checked preparations on the cake, something about it kept him entertained. Peering from behind in a somewhat distance, her amount on beverages hardly came across as lacking, it provided more than in his back in his own kitchen.
"MooMoo Milk’s the most important?" Chili wasn’t much of a milk person, a different case from when he was a kid, though something else sounded a bit more appealing from his point of view. "I’d take some rum.. But it’s not my thing to drink on my own, not really fun for either side y’know?" Otherwise lemonade sounded like a decent option, the redhead having a preference to drinks with a fizz in them.
"Yeah.. Sounds kinda odd, doesn't it?" She said with a small chuckle. "Reason I say that.. Well.. I grew up helping my uncle raise Miltank so it just somehow became part of my normal routine." Whitney said nodding to herself as she served them both. "I'll drink with you.” The pink haired girl said, pretty much inviting him to drink with her. “-- I kinda get it. Though, most guys I know just take it and drink more than their companions.." Then again, she didn't have much of a habit to make friends that would leave much of a good impression. Often times, they even brought in their own preference of alcoholic drinks.
“Movie later?” She asked, really not sure what else to offer after the cake – it pretty much being the reason she invited him over, as a small thanks for helping her partake in one of the uni’s odd shenanigans. Should have really thought things through, she thought to herself. One thing was for sure, just going with whatever came up.
Umm..! || Whitney & Touko
Touko gave the pink-haired girl a sheepish smile, realizing she’d just made quite an act out of herself right then. “Haha, good idea…But, I swear that isn’t how I usually act! I didn’t expect anyone to be around so…”
"Hm, no thanks." Her answer was straight to the point and almost immediate after the girl’s comment. Though, she wasn’t trying to be rude. "I don’t think I’m good for that sorta thing…" A smile rested on her face as she thought about it, "Since you blocked that so quickly, I think I’d be beat regularly by the other members~ and I’m too much of a sore loser for that!" She joked a bit, though it was very much true.
"You don't say.." Whitney said with a small playful tone in her voice. Kind of believing the other girl on her comment that she didn't act like so often, and the other part just questioning if she was trying to cover up. "It's understandable." She nodded, kind of dropping the subject then.
"Aww.." The pink haired girl was disappointed at her offer being turned down, but she wasn't going to give up. "We're short on members since a few have graduated and others..Well.. I haven't heard much from them.." She chuckled nervously, scratching the back of her head. That was most likely not something anyone would want to hear. "Don't really fret on being stopped like this to.. Well.. Discourage you from joining. There is always room for improvement." Herself included.
Pastry time! || Chili & Whitney
In time it would be done, probably when she least expects it just for that more surprising factor, just not now for certain reasoning, being where they are and the task they had gotten to. “Hmm, how long do you reckon that cake will take then?” If long enough then his request could be done, probably, most likely.
Arms folded as he leaned back waiting for it to take it’s time to make, lifting his head and giving a quick smell, nodding as his nose caught the smell of the dessert wafting by. “Yup, sure does.” He paused and thought about it, a drink would be pretty good right about now, seeing as how warm the atmosphere was feeling. “I might have something actually, uhh.. Whatcha got?”
Her guest was a strange one. He appeared to play some games that she didn’t mind. It was amusing in a way.. Kind of risky if it took a turn.
“Not long I bet.. Another 10 or so.. Just to stay on the safe side.” Whitney said with a small look over at the wall clock. She was tempted to do a small toothpick check, but she had heard of little tales that the cake would not keep its form if the oven was opened early. It sounded odd, though she was not willing risking it.
“Hm.. Not much..” She hated to admit as she took a closer look at her refrigerator. “Water bottles, some lemonade, pecha berry juice.. Some rum and most importantly, some MooMoo Milk.” Whitney said with a small smile on her face. “Any sound like it’d suit you?”
Umm..! || Whitney & Touko
"Uh? Oh Arceus, really?" Touko blinked a bit at the girl who’d deflected her swing. She lowered her arm and relaxed her posture with a small laugh. "Sorry, sorry! I don’t usually go around hitting people…Speak up quicker next time, yeah?" Though the situation was probably Touko’s fault, the lack of interesting things to do made her a little fidgety.
With a short “ahem” Touko turned to face the pink-haired girl. “So? Whatcha need?” She usually wasn’t too friendly with people she originally thought were around to creep—but she’d almost punched the girl, she might as well hear her out.
"Ah, right. Name’s Touko by the way…probably should’ve said that before trying to give you a black eye. But better late then never, right?~"
"I would have if I knew this was how it was going to happen." She said with a small cough, quite a reflex the other girl had. Not intentional by the looks of it. Or at least from what she had been saying. "I was waiting till I got closer.. Though, I'll make sure to shout across the courtyard next time." It really would be something that she would do, after all, its the best way to draw out attention. Though, the attention needed right now was not as bad, after all, not many people were around to pay attention to her.
"Nothing really.." The normal-type trainer said with a smile on her face, "I was just gonna check if y'were interested in checking out the martial arts club we have going on at this school." Hopefully she was, after all, with a reaction like this, she had to have some sort of interest.
Umm..! || Whitney & Touko
Sitting around was getting boring. But, school didn’t start for a few more weeks, meaning Touko had no release for her usual antics. And it was affecting her. Being restricted to laying around and flipping through her phone. How was she possibly supposed to be amazing. There was nothing to be amazing at. And no one around to share any tricks.
She sat, absentmindedly flicking a finger back and forth across her phone screen. Touko was only half sure she was playing some type of game, but found no interest in paying attention to it. A loud groan escaped the girls lips. How the heck was she supposed to entertain herself during school if she could barely manage the sum—her thoughts stopped in their tracks as she felt another presence behind her.
She spun and lightly swung a fist; because who just stood around someone; dangerous people, that’s who. Although she probably could’ve done with just turning around and seeing who it was, but that’d be much too simple.
Whitney had been wanting to go out and try to find new recruits for the school's martial arts group. Now that the school year was starting, it would be a good time as any to actually get something going. She would have dragged along one of the underclassmen, but none of them really seemed to be anywhere to be found. Posting ads around the school seemed to be the only useful thing as of now, not many were wandering around in the somewhat empty facility. Though, she was in luck to see a someone whom appeared to be a student.
"Score." Whitney said with a chuckle. Walking over to her, she kept a close eye on her, noticing that she really was both lost in her thoughts and on edge. Though why it was that, she couldn't really figure it out. That was until she noticed that the other's hand curved on over to her.
That was a rather unexpected move from the ponytailed girl, out of habit, she moved her hand to prevent her hand from hitting her face as the other gripped on to her wrist to change the direction she was aiming. "I just wanted to talk." Whitney said with a still rather amused look on her face. Maybe this girl would be a good one to recruit.

Shrugging absent-mindedly only hearing what was meant to be heard, he unfolded his arms to shove his hands to the sides of his pockets, raising his eyebrow with more interest. “Yeah, that’ll happen with some people alright." Her second comment however did cause a faint frown to cross, though that couldn’t be helped all the time. “Well that’s all up to you."
He wouldn’t want to be accused of anything, so he remained to his usual casual flirting, at least for now. “Oh yeah, hows it going over there?" Head nodding to the oven to indicate what he was referring to, since the other plan was mostly being postponed, food would have made a solid substitute for the time being, at least from his point of view.
“I really am curious on finding out about it..” She had found his previous actions to be pretty forward, though if he had something else as well, she wouldn’t mind playing along with it. It was.. Rather fun in a sense. Especially if it was with someone whom she had kind of gotten to know slightly better throughout the past few months.
"It looks like it's getting there.." She smiled with a flick of the oven light switch to take a better glance at it then just making a rough estimate. "It looks like it's going pretty well and nothing bad has happened, so that is good.. Smells good too." Whitney giggled some more, staring at the oven some more before getting back up on her feet. “You still don’t want anything to drink?”
Sweepstakes || Whitney & Clair
She gave a slow nod. The dragon tamer had been one of the lucky ones; she didn’t need to work while being at Nimbasa. She assumed it was something along the fast food or some other related industry directed more towards college students. Perhaps something the school had offered for her as well.
"Hm. There’s a few things that I have to do." She was never one to reveal her plans without far more prodding than that. “Unless you have something to do, would you like to join me?" There was more than enough time on her schedule to pencil in time with an old club member.
Whitney worked at a small local frozen yogurt shop that she had found on the help needed parts of the school's student worker's page. It wasn't much, but it was a start. And it involved something she was pretty familiar with so it was all for the best.
"I don't have much to do right now.." The pink-haired trainers admitted with a nod at the other's invitation. Rather embarrassing that she didn't really have anything for this summer. "I wouldn't mind tagging along." She said with a bright smile. "What did you have in mind?"
Pastry time! || Chili & Whitney
It was a to be expected move for him, it was a subtle but clear hint for him and he took it. “Hmm, I wouldn’t say so." Before things could be moved further, she gave the excuse and feeling inclined by it, stepped back and signaled where the cake was cooking. “Oh yeah, it’s best not risk it getting burnt or anything, huh?" He wouldn’t be that careless in the kitchen, even after some flirting.
Slumping his shoulders after a subtly dealt shrug, he replied. “I might be, it’s what I like to do best." Of course it just meant that it would either invoke more interest to playing against someone or making them lose interest, a double edged sword in that sense. “Prefer me to take a more straightforward approach?" He crossed his arms above his chest and tilted his head, eyebrow intriguingly raised. It was his before way but it usually ended more bad than good for his end.
"I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious.." Whitney said with another glance up at him. The cocky little look on her face only made her want to deny it some more. He seemed to know what he was doing, how to reel her in, get her interested. She knew how this little game went, she had done it before.. Though, none progressed due to her playful escapes.
"But I'm not so sure right now.." She hummed with a glance back over to the stove. Their attention was not fully needed on it, but nonetheless she didn't want to over think this little game of theirs. After all, she did invite him over to give a little than for helping her out. Though, she had to admit.. She was a bit curious of this straightforward approach.
Pastry time! || Chili & Whitney
"No, but it would be more fun that way." Coaxing himself into a more teasing manner, it was always fun for him to play it like that, once he felt more comfortable then his straightforwardness would be much more noticeable. Shuffling away from the work that he had performed, attempting to dry them off on the sides and turning back in her direction.
He paused for a brief second, thinking about her questions and not having too much of an answer for it, shrugging it easily. “I guess not." A little surprised by her action, he caught onto her with ease and played along, knowing what her intention truly was. How she masked it was pretty well done. “Well it’s getting hot in here now." Catching onto her intentions, moving his hands around the edges of her hips.
Slightly jumping at his touch, she was surprised at the little sudden move on his behalf. Then again, her little move was quite bold itself. Shifting her attention from the rather cocky look on his face back down to his buttons. "Aren't you getting kinda cold like this?" Whitney asked as she kept on tugging on his shirt.
Shaking her head slightly, she took a small step back, her head tilting some more to try to cover the rosy tint on her face. "T-The cake might burn.." She hesitantly said. Partially wanting to get distracted for playing a game that she honestly didn't really know how to play. The other bit was surprised that he was actually going along with her little attempt. "Are you just teasing?" Whitney asked a bit curious as to how this was turning out.
Pastry time! || Chili & Whitney
The redhead honestly thought that his subtly hinted note was obvious, considering how he would act around her, not to mention taking into account how outgoing and blunt he could be when he felt like it. “Well don’t make me spell it out for you." Very shortly after admitting what he said, turning away and keeping focus back to his minor chore, he let his complement sink into her for a second.
Glancing over his shoulders once again as she commented, an eyebrow lowered as if to take offence to her comment, not that he was really. “Hey, I ain’t some pretty boy, but I know i’m a catch." Questionable to him how she even gave him that nickname, his messy hairdo and line of clothing would make others think otherwise. Turning just as he finished the task, his hands rested to the counter side and observed her thoroughly, another little playful smirk twitched to his lips. “Feeling hot there?"
"It wouldn't cost you much trouble, would it?" Whitney said with a small, quick wink. The truth was she was able to pick up some hints, but thought they were more coincidence and little mixed signals since there was not much to back it up or prove in her imagination running a bit wild. Taking a look over his shoulder, she saw he was pretty much done with it all. "You can just leave them.. I'll finish them later.." She said, lightly noticing the familiar scent of the pastries.
"Ain't that pretty much the same thing?" She asked with a small hum at him waving off the name she would call him every now and then. Taking a closer look to him, she gave him a small smile. "It ain't so off.. Is it?" At the question, she shook her head. "Of course not.." She mumbled, her fingers moving to his shirt, lightly tugging and twirling at the hems.. "It's just a bit hot in here.."
You get the couch || Morty & Whitney
"That won’t be happening." He smiled proudly at her, having already folded his pajamas up nicely on the floor in a pile earlier that day. “I’ll try to get the rest of it done by the end of the week." He noted, rearranging the magnets to attempt to make a haiku. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a whole lot he could make a haiku out of without going off track. Whitney obviously needed to get more magnets.
"So what do you have planned for the rest of the day?" He asked her, while the balloon Pokemon floated to his side to try to play with the magnets too. “You’re not taking any classes right now are you?"
The magnets were fun to play the first time she had gotten them, but over time it started to just become something that she had there.. Sort of as a small decoration that just remained. It wouldn't be surprising to find out that people would take one or two when they visit. "Take your time. We do need to get you some bins to store them easier.. Though that will take some time."
"The rest of the day? Nothing much.. Just gonna go do laundry and tidy up around here.. Or something." That was the plan in mind, as long as she didn't get distracted, she'd do them. Shaking her head, she said, "Nope. No classes right now. Just working and doing the cleaning that never seems to get done." Living alone did get hard for her to push herself on some things. Hopefully with the blonde around she'd get better at this.
