Luda hummed softly on the line, she was keeping calm. She described where she was at, her work was still near, but not too close. “I feel the big dog still near” she hinted at him. She felt safe if she was on the phone with her love, rather than before. Something about listening to her fiance’s voice made her feel, at home.
