The angel goes quiet for a moment, save for grumbled promises to get his other half into a hot spring someday if it's the last thing he does.

"Yeah, that's what mine does-- Though I don't think he's spoken to Robin all that much, but he definitely enjoy's Lucina's company... He won't admit to anything, but I just know it!So you call him Crow? I, uh, only just realized that now. Whoops! Did he pick it for himself, or...?"

The angel folds his arms over his chest self-consciously, glancing aside as he tries to ignore the heat rising to his cheeks in the form of a rosy-red hue. Sure, he had been eager to try out some of the Mushroom Kingdom's other power-ups (the Tanooki Leaf had been very fun to play around with!), but Pit hadn't anticipated that using a Super Bell would land him in a snow-white cat costume.

'Denne!' The creature chirps, and sniffs Pit curiously. A cursory sniff, however, and it’s back to what it was doing before the bite - nuzzling Dark Pit’s hand and wrapping its tail around his wrist. 

"…Fine, but what does he eat? If he’s going to keep following me around we can’t let him starve.”

"I... Have no idea. Somehow I feel like ketchup is outta the question..."

Pit frowns, wings fluttering as he ponders the question. Hm... What's he seen the competitors eating? Fruit, mostly... And if there were any of those berries lying around that might be even better...

"Hmm. Think I saw Lucario eating some kind of berry the other day. If we can find out which ones are safe for the little guy to eat, we can grab a few!"

"Well, no, but he’s probably one of the mansion’s pokémon. Which means he shouldn’t be out here."

The hamster-mon appears displeased by this commentary and proceeds to show its displeasure by chomping down on Dark Pit’s finger.

"OW! …. There is that, too."

"...You did that one to yourself, Pittoo. Can't you see you hurt his feelings? Poor little guy..." 

Pit holds a hand out to the Pokemon, allowing it to sniff him if it wanted. 

"If he doesn't go too far or stays with us, I don't see what the big problem is? I mean, we're probably not supposed to be battling with 'em either, and look what we did a few weeks ago!"

Dark Pit holds up a very tiny hamster-like pokémon that looks like it should be plugged into a wall somewhere. "Make it stop."

                           She has lived for a very long time, and she had never heard of a goddess named Palutena or angels of any kind. Though she didn’t doubt him. He did have wings, and she wouldn’t be able to question him after the last thing he said. The last? 

                           ❝I’m sorry. That must be a little difficult, but I can say                            I’m in a similar situation myself. I don’t think there was                            anything exactly like me to start out with, though. I don’t                            think so, anyway. My name is Valentine.❞

...Oh, no. The last thing Pit wanted was someone to feel pity for him! He might've been the last, but he refused to feel down about it. No, he was going to do his people proud and carry on where they could not!

"I guess it gets kinda lonely without mom and dad around, but Lady Palutena says that maybe someday in the future, she'll be able to bring them back. With all the stuff that's happened over the last twenty-eight years or so, she's not at full power yet. It'll be a while yet, but in the meantime I'm gonna do my best!"

"...You're in a similar situation, Miss Valentine? How's that?"

                               Valentine studied the stranger, taking interest to him immediately. He had a small frame, kid features, maybe thirteen- Fiveteen at most. None of this was unusual, what really caught her eye was the two white wings sprouted from his back. They were large and beautiful— And if she hadn’t known any better she would have thought she had met an angel.

                            ❝So… Are you like- A superhero or something?❞

"Superhero...?"

The little angel lifts his head, in turn studying the young lady with curiosity. She looked fairly normal, like any other sweet girl he might cross paths with, but something struck him as not quite human. 

Though it'd be rude to ask, wouldn't it? You can't just go up to someone and ask them to prove their humanity. Therefore, Pit drops it.

"Nope! I'm an angel; servant of the goddess Palutena." A soft chuckle escapes the brunet, "I can see why you got confused, though. I'm... Kinda the last one left."

Just like that, the laughter stops and Dark Pit tackles his counterpart, beginning to tickle the white angel mercilessly. "Got you!"

Fwoomp! Down he goes, powerless to resist the power of tickles. He's already giggling up a storm, and every so often a plea for Dark Pit to stop is interspersed with laughs that only grow in volume.

"Pih-- Pittoo, stop--!"

     now that was an idea that he could easily go along with. it wouldn’t be difficult — once the initial shock of being yanked in, the kid really looked like he could command the water if he really tried. he just needed some guidance. and who better to give it than haru!

     ❝ sure. ❞ oh, come on. he couldn’t sound too excited about the whole thing. there was an image to be upheld here. and while teaching others to swim wasn’t a special talent of his, haru was certain he could at least teach the kid how not to kill himself off while swimming without company. ❝ we’ll start small. you can float, right? ❞

"Float? Well, probably-- I dunno whether these," He unfurls a sopping wet wing, then tucks it back in quickly. Wet feathers are gross! "will get in the way of anything, but I'll give it a try!"

Okay, nice and easy. Just-- Float. On your back. It's not that hard, Pit!

Though... Would all his clothes weigh him down even more? Sure, Pit's dressed pretty light, but add in the wings...There's a visible moment of hesitation before Pit comes to the conclusion that he will be safe no matter what, for Haru is there, and makes the bold attempt. Besides, if he ever ended up having to swim on-duty, it'd be all this plus a weapon.

Well? Will he float? Probably.
