Random JJ x Emily Headcanons :)
Emily loves forehead kisses
Every morning, JJ will lean down and press the softest of kisses to her forehead and murmur a soft “good morning” on her skin
When they’re alone in the office, JJ will cup Emily’s cheeks in her palms, lean up on her tiptoes and press a series of kisses on her forehead
Cuddling and forehead kisses are Emily’s absolute weakness
She likes cuddling up on the couch in JJ’s arms after a long day with her head tucked right in the crook of the younger woman’s neck
JJ’s fingers stroke so lovingly and soothingly through her hair and then she’ll just lean down and give Emily a soft, lingering kiss before planting one on her forehead
It makes her feel so soft and loved
She’ll also actively seek out JJ’s hand when they’re sitting together on the jet or in the prescient on cases because she craves the simple physical and affectionate touch
She loves being the little spoon when they’re cuddling
And likes having her hair played with
Honestly, Emily Prentiss is just a big softie when she’s with JJ
She can’t, and I mean can’t, sleep unless she’s in JJ’s arms
One time, Hotch booked them all separate rooms in a hotel on a case (because there was in fact plenty of space for them all to room separately and he thought he was being nice)
But Emily was very pissy because she could not for the life of her get any sleep
She tossed and turned for hours until she banged on JJ’s door at 3AM
She stalked into the blonde’s room and grabbed her arm, falling on the bed and wrapping her girlfriend’s arm securely around her waist
And immediately fell asleep once she felt JJ curl up behind her
Hotch books them the same rooms after that, even if the hotel has enough rooms for everyone
Plus he doesn’t want to deal with a sleep deprived Emily; she’s a bitch with everyone except JJ
Emily steals JJ’s clothes all the time
It’s never a problem though tbh
(At first, JJ is slightly pressed about her shirts being slightly more loose around her chest, but then she starts buying shirts a size above what she normally would so Emily’s more comfortable in them)
(She always gets giddy when she’s in the bullpen and sees Emily in one of her shirts)
JJ will go out of her way every single day to drop by and give Emily a kiss no matter where they are
She loves seeing the wide, loving smile Emily has on her face when she pulls away
JJ also likes to wear Emily’s suits because they’re super comfortable and she loves seeing Emily’s reaction to her in them
She always has to roll up the sleeves so they fit her instead of drowning her hands
But she always feels like a mega badass in them
The sex they have in her office in the middle of the day is only an added bonus to wearing the suits
Sometimes when they’re putting away groceries, Emily will stick a can of peas or a box of cereal further back on the shelf so that JJ will call for her to come and get it down for her when she needs it
(100% of the time, Emily will place a hand at JJ’s hip and lean up from directly behind her, msking sure their bodies are flush together as she gets down what the blonde needs)
Emily thinks she’s a huge tease and is really smug about it until JJ turns and presses her into the counter and gives her a kiss that leaves her breathless
(And then it’s JJ’s turn to be smug about being a tease so take that)
Emily can sing, but she won’t do it for anyone except JJ (and maybe the boys, but they were both babies when she did sing to them)
(If they ask her to, though, she’ll cave every time)
Emily will always sing to her
If JJ’s having a bad day, Emily will scoop her up in her arms and sing whatever song is on her mind softly in her ear
(For a week straight, it was that Ed Sheeran song that was way too overplayed on the radio but it doesn’t matter bc it calms JJ right down)
JJ thinks Emily’s voice is incredibly soothing and light and beautiful
Emily’s favorite brand of tea is only available at a specialty store three hours away
JJ makes special trips to go and buy it for her
And every time Emily’s close to running out, JJ always surprises her with a new box
When Henry’s hair is long, he wants someone to braid his hair “like you braid Emmy’s, mommy!”
Emily learns how to braid hair from JJ and Penelope during girl’s nights (since she never learned how to growing up) just so she can do it for Henry and JJ
(Plus she loves it when JJ does it and she wants to return that favor god dammit!)
Their favorite show to watch together is Chopped
They both really cannot stand Mark Murphy
Emily thinks he’s a douchebag and JJ doesn’t like his ego
Every other judge is okay though
They both collectively cringe when someone attempts to make a risotto or a cake because those never work out
Or when someone cuts into their main protein and it’s still raw but there’s oly a few minutes on the clock
(They actually really get invested in the show tbh)
They’ll also watch Buzzfeed Unsolved
Not because they believe in the paranormal
But because they get a kick out of Ryan and Shane’s interactions
They’ll constantly quote the show at the office too
Emily will come in the office and go “hey there demons”
JJ will follow close behind and continue with “it’s me, ya boy”
(Everyone is always super confused, especially when they both burst out singing “Mama Mia” at the same time)
