After a pretty spectacular afternoon spent exploring their new home, Jane said goodbye to Steve, but not before reassuring him that she would keep her promise of taking him up to the roof once her own equipment had arrived. The plans excited her and she couldnât wait for the equipment sheâd worked so hard on putting together over the past several years to finally be delivered. At the same time, though, the new equipment sheâd seen in the labs and the list of some of the data servers and analysis equipment already on hand in Stark Tower excited her, too.
With that in mind she headed up a few more floors, this time in search of Tony Stark, JARVIS leading the way. She was admittedly a bit nervous. Sheâd heard so many things about Tony Stark - good and bad - and was anxious to make her own assumptions. Personalities didnât matter, though, when it all boiled down. Jane was an expert in her field and her research had a direct correlation to many of the events SHIELD had dealt with in the past few years. She was just glad they were finally bringing her in on things. That was one things he already knew she had in common with Stark - even though SHIELD knew they were perfect for the jobs, theyâd been left in the dark.
âDirectly ahead, Dr. Foster,â came JARVISâ voice as she stepped out of the elevator, straightening her t-shirt. She hadnât bothered to change from the casual attire from earlier - she always worked in simple clothes. âIâll notify Mr. Stark of your arrival.â
âThanks,â she said to the AI, taking the last few steps toward the door. She peered inside the windows, seeing movement. A moment later the doors opened, starling her a little. Jane stepped inside, looking around and taking in the work space, already impressed. Finally her eyes fell on the figure sheâd seen moving before - Tony Stark. She put on a smile, standing awkwardly just inside the door.
âHello,â she said, the awkwardness extending to her voice. âItâs nice to finally meet you, Iâm Jane Foster.â
