Different shapes of gemstones and their meanings.
Each crystal or gemstone can be found in many different shapes, but actually each one has specific properties. Here are some of them:
Tumbled Stones
This stones are the ones whose shape has been smoothed or polished from their raw form. Ideal for meditation, affirmations and altar work. This shape evens and gentle energy.
Abundance stones
This is basically an elongated crystal with clustered, smaller crystals around it. This is perfect for wealth and abundance, hence it’s name. Useful, for example, to use in business.
Natural point stones
Not necessary a wand-like crystal, they’re any part of a faceted crystal with a point that has formed naturally and not precisely perfected. This are useful to draw energy from a body or to the body. Perfect for cleansing and healing.
Generator stones
A Generator will have six facets (of equal or unequal proportions) that meet into one point. It gets its name for its ability to generate amplified energy, boosting the power of other stones, or the stone it is made of. This type of formation is also very powerful for charging other stones.
Geode
Geodes have the ability to hold energy within and soften it, allowing it to naturally flow out and disperse evenly. These formations are great for protection or for assisting with healing abusive habits such as alcoholism and abusive internal monologues.
Raw stones
Raw stones are in their natural form and have not been smoothed, polished or altered. Also they’re often considered as more fragile than it’s relatives. They are great for all spiritual work.
Pyramid stones
This refers to four equal triangle faces and a square base. This is pretty often used in healing, it’s useful for warding off negative energy and also removing blocks from the chakra system. Also good for affirmations and manifestation work.
Spheres
These powerful formations are great for scrying. As it’s form is smooth from every possible angle, is believed that light, energy and time pass through it with no rules or hindrances, hence their scrying abilities.
Cubes
Perfect for grounding energies and intentions, believed that energy is contained and enhanced in this stone shape. Transmutes negative to positive energy, perfect for mindfulness and concentration.

Basics of Kitchen and Cottage Witchcraft
Kitchen witches believe that the kitchen is a sacred place where all of the magick happens. They focus on the use of edible ingredients and kitchen tools. A cottage witch is a witch that brings magick into the house and are protectors of the hearth and home. They bring cheer and warmth to every room they enter. Their focuses are on the family, home, and daily needs. Both the cottage and Kitchen witch believe that by honoring the home it honors the Gods and Goddesses. They bring magick into everyday life and daily chores.
Ways a Kitchen and Cottage witch can bring magick into a home:
Create a kitchen altar
Stock your shelves with herbs and spices
Bring maximum feng-shui to your home
Keep the home physically and spiritually clean
Paint the house walls in colours that bring happiness, warmth, and coziness
When making a sandwich put mustard or mayo sigils on it
When making meals add herbs that correspond to your magickal needs
Decorate the home according to the sabbats
Brew some special teas
Make your own candles, salves, and tinctures.
Make offerings to Gods and Goddesses of hearth and home.
Ask your deities to keep your house safe and healthy.
Create your own recipes and add your own touch of magick to them
Put intent into everything you cook and clean
Make an incantation or short song to sing while you stir.
Inscribe your wooden spoons with sigils
Carve your wooden shelves with sigils - carve them at the bottom of the cupboard to remain discreet
Craft oils, incense, soaps, potions, and salves.
Make herbal remedies
Chant while cleaning or preparing a meal
Use numerology in their practices by the number of times they stir or the number of times they knead dough.
During the mead moon, brew mead with magickal intent.
Decorate the home with your own art or art done by your children, poems, knits, woodcraft’s, paintings, quilts, diy’s, or tapestries.
Enchant your crafts.
Use weather magick, candle magick, ribbon charms, and anything else used to add magick to your home.
Honour the ancestors.
Bless the home.
Start a garden and will it with organic and in season fruits and vegetables.
Charge herbal oils by moonlight or candlelight to heal, bless the home or to clean and protect the woodwork she polishes with it.
Scatter charm bags, witches ladders, chimes, and bells around the home.
Grow an indoor jungle
Learn herbal remedies to treat MINOR injuries
If you work with meat make sure to thank and honour the animal it came from.

Herbs you can grow indoors.
Made this list for my fellow witchies who like their kitchen to be full of the green stuff :
Basil : like lots of sun and warmth. More difficult to grow in the winter months
Bay : needs plenty of sun and fresh air.
Chives : needs at least 6 hours of sun and plenty of water.
Dill : prefers slightly acidic soil, needs plenty of sunlight, doesn’t need too much water.
Lemongrass : My personal favorite as you don’t plant it in soil. Grow in a couple of inches of water. Easiest to grow.
Mint : needs plenty of water and needs to be placed in an area with indirect light. Harvest frequently.
Oregano : does not deal well with cold and drastic temperature changes could kill it.
Parsley : Doesn’t require too much light or maintenance, but is a slow grower.
Rosemary : needs 6 - 8 hours of strong, direct sunlight. Only water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Needs good ventilation. A bit trickier to grow.
Sage : Needs plenty of sun.
Thyme : Needs 6 - 8 hours of sunlight a day and maybe even supplemental light.
Magickal Uses for Kisses
A kiss is a very powerful thing, even in fairytales and lore of the past the power of kisses are told of (true love’s kiss, siren/mermaid kiss, first kiss, etc). a kiss can be a powerful tool for any witch. Here are a few suggestions for using kisses and the power they hold.
Use a kiss to charge objects: crystals, tarot cards, charms, amulets, etc etc. Use it to send your emotions and energy into the object. Love is a good emotion, but any positive energies you wish to charge the object with can be transferred this way. Adding your love to something can really give it a boost as well! Especially if it is for another to use. (Note: do not kiss toxic stones please! Be safe and smart)
Spell Sealing: Use a kiss to magically seal spells such as jar and bottle spells or use it to strengthen a (cooled!) wax seal. Imagine placing the kiss its like placing an invisible seal upon it, stamping in energy to lock th spell inside.
For Air and Wind spells: For all of my fellow witches who use air and wind spells, blowing a kiss after a chant or spell to summon a wind in the direction you wish it to blow is a good way to guide the wind but also show it positive reinforcement. Use it to show your gratitude for the wind’s cooperation. It is best for gentler wind spells.
Glamour and Beauty spells: Kiss the mirror after a beauty or glamour spell. Thank the mirror for its aid and seal any negativity into it. It also a wonderful way to reflect love back at yourself!
Love Spells: Kisses are great for powering up love spells! Kiss a candle before lighting it (careful if you are using essential oils be sure not to kiss where they are), kiss the written name of the one you desire, kiss a charm or amulet to help bring love into your life, and finally blow a kiss when finishing the the spell to close it.
Kitchen Magic: blow a kiss to finish a dish (don’t be too close though, don’t want to spread germs) to put a final charge of love into it before serving it to others. Good for with tea and coffee spells too!
Public Magic: Want to remain discrete while casting a spell in public? Blow a kiss! Its much subtler than pointing or hand motions, especially if it is a positive spell you are casting on another or a friend but it is also good for curses, either way its a wonderful way to send your intentions. Whisper the words or chant needed for the spell (if any) under your breath, imagine them them gathering in an orb of energy at your lips as you do so. Then do a subtle kiss motion on your lips (no hands and no ‘fish lips’, you are trying to be subtle). Then release the energy and words towards the target with a gentle blow of breath, sending the ball of energy in that direction.
Mourning/Remembrance Rituals: Ending such a ritual with a blown kiss to close it can help release your feelings in a positive manner and close the ritual with love and sincerity.
Thanking tools: As someone who uses tarot cards and many other divination tools, I like to place gentle kisses to the sides of the decks after using them to help bond with them. To show them my gratitude for assisting me in not only readings but also in my spell work. I also before days where I know i will be doing a lot of divination work, I will kiss them to help charge them up (as said above). It is an excellent way to bond with your tools!
