Is it weird that I want odyssey imagines and fanfics now?
Okay so I saw the Odyssey yesterday, and I genuinely enjoyed it and yes, I have read the Odyssey multiple times, and no I don’t think the movie was perfect, but I do think it was a good movie for what it did have.
I think it’s very important for everyone to consider the translation Nolan was basing the movie off of and also go in remembering literally no adapt of a book is perfect, like ever. We’ve seen it with Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent, Harry Potter, even game adaptations aren’t perfect. However, not a single one of those movies weren’t enjoyable. As far as I know, the translation Nolan based the movie off of was Emily Watsons translation which does change a few things a good bit as she changed Odysseus’ personality to a much more regretful man than he really was to make the book more “anti-war.”
Things that I liked:
While the actors that got the roles weren’t Greek, I do think they were good picks for each character. I genuinely think Anne Hathaway played Penelope amazingly and we got to see the anger that she also felt during the 20 years of her husband being gone.
Lupita was a beautiful Helen. Jon was a great Menelaus (pretty sure he even got his iconic “let me tell you something” in there lol). Tom was a great Telemachus. Zendaya, Charlize and Samantha played Athena, Calypso, and Circe beautifully.
The monsters and characters for the most part were all wonderfully done and it amazes me that he was able to do what he did without cgi and only sfx. It made everything look much more really and I genuinely loved that.
I actually really liked the route he took with the gods only showing their presence through events and not actually showing their physical presence. I think it showed how much the gods influence, watched over, and punish the Greeks without ever needing to come down genuinely show themselves. This does exclude Athena kind of, as she shows herself as a hallucination to Odysseus but taking the form of a woman Odysseus allowed to die during the battle of Troy. Which I also found really interesting.
The flow was great, nothing felt forced or pushed in just to satisfy the audience and I think that would have gone differently if some of the stuff from the book that was cut was included instead.
While I know the language and way the speak isn’t accurate, I did like that they went with a more modern approach. Because let’s face it, there’s a lot of people that would have been able to understand what they were saying if they planned to do a more poetic and formal way of speaking to match the books and that would have limited the audience greatly. Not saying we should completely cater to illiteracy and stupidity, but for this film I do think it was a necessary change that they still handled well.
I liked the soundtrack a lot, it wasn’t incredible and like “HOLY SHIT”, but it definitely fit the moods and the movie. My personal favorite was Zeus’s Law.
The underworld scene. I just loved everything about it honestly.
I thought Elliot Page played his role really well for the few minutes he was in the movie. Genuinely don’t get the hate.
Things I’m in the middle on:
The Horse. The prop of the infamous trojan horse for this film was beautiful, however I do think it was out of place. The horses face was carved beautifully, all the wood fits together perfect, it’s smooth, sanded, and even stained. It just does make sense to me how they would build something so perfectly made during a war in ancient times. Personally, I think the Trojan Horse in the 2004 Troy movie, was a bit more of an accurate representation of what the horse may have looked like. But at the end of the day, it is film and you really want to draw people’s attention in and make it awesome which is why I understand the decision.
The armor. I’m not gonna get into historical accuracy as like I said before this is film and you want to try to make it cool while also functional. I think they did well making the helmets accurate for the Spartans. The Trojans are a different story as I personally think they made the helmets very.. blocky? They just weren’t shaped properly and the colors were a bit of an odd choice.
Agamemnon. Really cool helmet but literally just aura farmed the whole time, wasnt very important til they got to the underworld and even then he spoke for like 2 minutes then just went back to aura farming.
The lack of color in their clothing. idk why but for some reason it was interpreted that the people of Greece really just wore rags at that time unless you were some kind of royalty lol.
Odysseus’s character. Like I said before, his character changes a bit due to the translation used as reference. But in the movie, Odysseus is portrayed as a much more regretful man than how he was portrayed in more accurately translated versions. He’s not very prideful, his iconic intelligence isn’t shown nearly as much, etc.
Things that were missing / I didn’t like:
There’s no lotus eaters, “nobody” moment, reveal of Odysseus name to Polyphemus, trickery with the wine, olive tree bed, Athena helping Telemachus.
I also want to make it known that up until I saw this movie, I have never seen a Christopher Nolan work (that I know of) so I am not a glazer that loves all of his stuff just because it’s made by him. This is my genuine take on the movie. But overall, I think it’s very important that everyone forms their own opinions AFTER watching the movie instead of just hopping on the bandwagon that fills social media. <3

I'd like to think his partner doesn't wear heavy perfume or scents because he has very sensitive senses. But they have this distinct scent that only he can sense, which helps calm him down. This also means he loves smelling you.
PLEASE

Dex wasn't a man who lost his temper when he had a plan. He thought through a thousand times how he would propose to you. There was no room for error, not when he was in charge.
It was easy for him to take you on a date outside of Hell's Kitchen; he hardly ever spent any time there anyway, and you'd already accepted that life outside that hellhole was better. There was less risk of the devil trying to ruin Dex's perfectly balanced life.
He took you to an Italian restaurant because the dim lighting, soft music, intimate atmosphere, and immediate service could melt any spirit. Also, because he read several magazines in the wee hours while you slept; they talked about how Mediterranean, Italian, or haute cuisine (fusion) tends to be more romantic, since it allows you to share dishes (like appetizers or pasta), includes aphrodisiac options (like seafood), and is best enjoyed with wine.
One of the magazines said it was a lethal combination. It was nonsense, but according to the percentage shown on the websites, those words seemed to carry some truth.
It wasn't hard for him to excuse himself to the restaurant's terrace with you. He'd used it once to kill some idiot the owner wanted dead. Dex didn't even have to threaten; the owner knew not to anger Bullseye, so he prepared the terrace exactly as Dex had wanted.
It was a bold move. Dex usually wouldn't risk making decisions like this, but you managed to push him out of his usual routine. And taking you to a place he'd used as a sniper's nest gave him a dark feeling inside that only you seemed to understand.
It was exquisite. The artificial lights hung like beautiful additions to the night sky, casting a warm glow. The plants weren't ostentatious, but they did their job, giving a fresh look to that piece of heaven Dex had worked so hard to create for you. Soft music drifted from inside the restaurant, the perfect volume to create a symphony of background music that would envelop your senses, preparing you for his proposition. They had even set the table with two glasses so they could toast after you gave him the long-awaited yes.
When he knelt before you, your eyes lit up, and he couldn't help but smile, almost like an idiot, at the sight. You are beautiful, his guiding star, the finger that directed his actions, the arrow of his compass. Being by your side balanced his world; if he had to kill, he first had to have your approval. Only you saw what was right and wrong in this world, only you could decide who lived and who died; Dex was merely the executioner.
His hands weren't trembling; nerves weren't part of him. This was the final mission that would make you his.
Everything was going perfectly, wasn't it? He just needed to take out the velvet box with the ring inside, say the words he'd rehearsed, and you would be—
Was that champagne?
You didn't like champagne. You didn't see the appeal. You liked wine; on occasions like this, you liked white wine because it made you feel sophisticated. Why champagne? He explicitly said it had to be white wine, an expensive one, the price didn't matter, but white wine, not some stupid, cheap champagne that Dex insisted shouldn't exist at a time like this.
“¿Dex?”
Your voice pulled him from his thoughts. He looked at you, his eyes never leaving yours as his left hand pulled out the box to present it to you.
He had prepared the speech. He had studied it. He had taken care to write it without any grammatical errors and to rehearse it as if it were the most important mission—which it was—but now… now the words seemed to refuse to come.
Dex swallowed hard, opened the box, revealing the beautiful platinum-gold ring with a subtle but lovely sapphire stone. His lips were suddenly dry, and he blurted out the first thing that came to mind, what his instincts screamed inside him, what his newfound nerves compelled him to say: “Please?”
Please? PLEASE?
Dex swallowed again, suddenly feeling like his windpipe was closing up, squeezing his airway shut. It was stupid. He'd screwed up, screwed up like never before. There was no one here to blame but himself and the incredible power he had to shake things up in every direction—
No.
It was the champagne's fault. The champagne was the problem. The waiter who set the table was the problem. The head waiter was to blame because he didn't supervise properly—no. No, no, no. The owner was to blame, the owner Dex had spoken to and made it clear that this was important. He was going to die. They were all going to die.
Dex was going to kill them. He would destroy this restaurant, maybe he would kill some civilians too, to make it clear that mistakes like these couldn't—
“Dex!” you called, breaking the train of his obsessive thoughts once again. “Put the ring on me,” you demanded.
Your smile was still on your face, only your brow had furrowed slightly, almost imperceptibly. No one but Dex, who knew every expression on your face in detail, could have noticed something so minute.
“Yes, yes, of course,” he murmured, nodding as his expert fingers grasped the ring and slipped it onto your finger.
Your smile widened as you raised your hand to admire the jewel that adorned your finger.
“Stand up, now you must kiss me,” you whispered, looking at him expectantly after breaking contact with the jewel that represented the future eternal union.
Dex nodded, nodded several times as he stood up, his body higher than yours.
You didn't give him time to recover, to rehearse what to do next. You grabbed the collar of his shirt and kissed him without hesitation.
His hands found your hips purely out of instinct. The same instinct that led him to follow each of your words, to listen to your orders as if it were the lymphatic line that remained and followed the flow of the blood. It was instinct to be by your side, to follow you, to remain entirely yours.
“It’s… it’s a yes,” Dex said, fixing his gaze on yours.
You laughed.
“Yes, darling, it’s a yes,” you said, kissing his lips once more. “You’re my fiancé now,” you murmured, your tone making him want to kneel before you again.
“I was always yours,” Dex said, with a certainty that only came to him when it came to you. “Only yours,” he whispered, kissing your lips.
This time, Dex took the liberty of silencing your sweet words. In that moment, he only wanted to silence everyone else and have only his lips on yours.
Matt was an intense man when it came to love. He loved with such intensity that it often led him down paths where morality, responsibility, and friendship were at risk. His divine purpose was to protect, and with protection came love; there was no one who didn't yearn for the perfection of protection as much as Matt. It was almost obsessive. Many times, Matt hurt those closest to him under the banner of protection.
Pushing them away was easier than keeping your loved ones by your side, by the side of danger.
At least, that's how it was in the past. Things change with time, and one of them was his way of loving. The intensity was still there; it was part of him to give himself completely to romance, he could hardly help it. But now he was more careful, more thoughtful about the decisions he had to face. He wasn't alone. He was no longer the devil of Hell's Kitchen on his own.
He had Foggy, he had Karen, Jessica… several other people.
But you were the most important. The person who was the center of his world.
Matt wanted to marry you. He had never allowed himself that thought before, but life with you had taught him that God still had plans for him.
Good plans, plans that seemed like the most beautiful blessing He could have given a sinner like Matt.
You were his greatest blessing. Not proposing to you after two years of dating already felt like sacrilege, so clearly, after surviving many storms, Matt was ready to propose.
Matt wanted to make it special. Something intimate between the two of you. He really wanted it to be special.
But God always liked to test him, even in moments when he thought he was in control, even if only for a few instants.
An emergency came up. Matt had to cancel his date with you, and you, as always, understood. That was just who you were; you knew that a part of Matt would always belong to Hell's Kitchen.
For better or worse, he was already prepared. He was wearing his suit because he planned to do a quick patrol of the neighborhood and then come back for you to take you to where he had planned—yes, he was going to pick you up in his suit.
The adrenaline of sneaking out into the night together was palpable between you two. You loved Daredevil's suit; seeing him like that turned you on. You loved the devil as much as the man. And Matt wanted to pamper you, wanted to propose, and then make love to you under the night sky that watched over you. May even God see it.
Sadly, Hell's Kitchen never slept.
Matt desperately wanted to ignore his instincts. He desperately wanted to disregard the voice inside him that told him it was his responsibility.
This time, going out there and saving lives made him feel awful because he didn't feel the usual satisfaction. He didn't feel that rotten, yet satisfying feeling inside him when he beat up thugs. He didn't feel that lightness in his body when he saved lives.
He just wanted to go home to you.
So after a long, tiring night, Matt climbed in through the window. His feet felt heavy as he made his way through the living room. You were awake, sitting on the couch with your laptop resting on your lap.
Matt could feel your heart racing at the sight of him, and he couldn't help but almost melt at the sight of you.
Your sweet scent enveloped him, and his muscles wanted to give out right there, his bones longed to turn to jelly, and his skin prickled instantly. You held such power over him. It shouldn't be possible for one human being to rule with such power over another. It was unfair, but it was the most beautiful injustice Matt had ever witnessed.
He practically crawled toward you and thanked you for moving your laptop without him saying a word.
“Sweetheart…” he whispered. His voice was hoarse from a few cries he’d let out. His body was hard, but his resistance to you was gentle.
Matt removed his Daredevil helmet, which fell carelessly to the floor, and he quickly rested his head in your lap. He inhaled deeply and groaned as the essence of your being filled his entire body.
Matt was hypersensitive when it came to his senses. Generally, he could control and limit unwanted sensations, he could control where to focus his hearing or his sense of smell, but with you, that control was nonexistent. He became a wreck under your mere presence.
“Long night?” you asked.
He almost let out a groan.
“Sorry,” he whispered, almost rubbing his nose against your skin. “I… I had it all planned,” he murmured.
“Sorry? What are you talking about, Matty?” you asked.
Your fingers sank into his hair, gently scratching it, and then you lifted his face to look at him.
His eyes were faintly shining, his lip had a tiny cut, and you could see a little sweat trickling through his hair.
“What were you planning?” you asked gently.
It was unfair. Unfair that you were being so sweet to him even though he let you down today. Today. The day he was going to propose, to you, for good.
Matt exhaled. He almost melted under your touch, and his eyes filled with tears that he refused to let fall. He was frustrated, utterly frustrated.
Even so, one of his hands traveled to the front of his suit where there was a small pocket; he could store something small there: a card, a USB drive with information, or perhaps a ring.
“I…” Matt felt his throat go dry as he presented the ring to you.
He could hear your heart race. Your pheromones soon assaulted his nostrils, and it was a hell of a struggle for Matt to stifle the moan that threatened to escape his throat.
Unfair. Unfair. You were unfair.
Matt was a lawyer; words came so easily to him, even outside of law. He never had trouble charming a woman with his smooth talk, but now… now he was a mess. A nervous wreck.
“Sweetheart…” he said, swallowing hard. “Please…” Matt didn’t even notice that his tone had become rapid, that his breathing was quickening.
The smell of your tears filled the air, the same tears that now filled your eyes and slid down your cheekbones to the end of your face.
“Oh, Matt,” you whispered, taking his hand in both of yours, as if you knew your touch could soothe his entire being. “Yes, yes, oh god, yes!”
You threw yourself into his arms, and Matt hugged you without hesitation. He didn't care how pathetic he'd been. He didn't have the strength to think about anything other than being able to call you his fiancée and, in the not-too-distant future, his wife.
“I love you,” he said, burying his face in your hair. “You’re mine, sweetheart, and you will be for eternity.”
“I love you too, Matty,” you said, breaking the embrace just to kiss him.
This time, Matt let out the moan. He groaned into your mouth and quickly used his tongue to lick your lips while his hands gripped the flesh of your hips.
Matt could feel you melting in his hands. It was easy, perhaps because he had the same power over you as you did over him.
“Put on the ring, my love, I want to make you mine with it on,” he whispered against your mouth.
Matt immediately sensed your scent change. You were aroused by a few simple words.
Confidence returned to him and once the cute gold ring with a subtle ruby stone rested on your finger, Matt slid his hands down to your ass and lifted you up, shamelessly plunging his fingers into the juicy flesh of your cheeks.
At that moment, Matt didn't care about any divine plan. Not even his own plan to propose in an organized and romantic way.
All he cared about was you. All he cared about was that you said yes. All he cared about was that he was going to make love to you all night until you could only sigh his name and no one else's.
The ring had been in his jacket pocket for months. Six months, to be exact. Frank never found the right moment. He always thought tomorrow, tomorrow's the day.
And tomorrow was never the day. Especially not in his life.
Something always happened, he always had to focus his gaze on some son of a bitch who deserved to die. You never had a problem with that. You didn't care that Frank killed because you had the same moral compass as him: some people were better off dead. Simple and concise. Moral bullshit was for wimps like Daredevil, and Frank wasn't like that.
You weren't cruel or heartless; it wasn't like you enjoyed the carnage of killing. The truth is, you were kind, sweet, and understanding, but you were also logical and so intelligent that Frank was sometimes surprised to find himself listening to you talk about politics or strategy.
You were the kind of person who would go into the dark and know where to find the door even when the shadows were pulling you in, trying to force you to stay.
Frank loved you, damn it, he loved you with all his heart.
After losing his family, Frank didn't think he'd ever find the peace of this kind of love again. He didn't feel worthy of it, nor did he believe it was something he had the right to experience. The world was a mess, the streets were dangerous, and monsters were everywhere.
That's why his mission was to put an end to those monsters.
But he fell in love with you. Frank fell madly in love with you, and now he's been carrying a ring in his jacket pocket for months.
It was an impulse when he bought it. It was a simple gold ring, somewhat heavy on the hand, and the band was wider than usual women's rings. Frank could only think that it would look perfect on you, the kindest person—though incredibly tough inside. You could even throw a good punch with that ring on because of its weight.
It was perfect for you, so Frank bought it without thinking twice. Since then, he's carried it in his jacket pocket, and the weight seemed to increase with every step.
A bullet had grazed his arm, enough to leave a wound. It wasn't serious. Shit happened, nothing new.
So now Frank was sitting while you treated the wound, standing between his legs. It wasn't the first time you'd done it, and it wouldn't be the last.
“When I said blood looked sexy on you, I didn’t mean you should let yourself get hurt, you know?” you joked as your fingers secured the medical tape over the gauze.
Frank snorted and rolled his eyes, though a tiny smile crossed his lips.
“If I was tryin' t' impress you...” Frank said, holding your gaze. “Trust me, sweetheart. Hurting myself ain't how I'd do it.”
He noticed your smile at his words and couldn't help but feel that warmth fill him. You stirred things in him that Frank thought were dead, things he believed he wouldn't be worthy of reliving, especially not in this cruel world that bled every day.
“Ugh, this is definitely going in the trash,” you said, grabbing his jacket.
The jacket with the ring.
“Doll… hold up.”
You didn't even pay attention to Frank; you were curious about the light weight in his jacket pocket, so you reached in and… yes, you found the velvet box.
Frank almost held his breath, his eyes unblinking as he stared at you. His whole being was focused on you, on how your breasts rose and fell faster as you realized what he had hidden there.
“Frank?” you whispered, finally taking your eyes off the box to look at him.
Frank stood up from his seat, his hands trembling slightly as they rested on your arms; his thumbs caressed your skin while his dark eyes searched for yours. His touch was gentle, his calloused fingers tracing invisible patterns on the softness of your now trembling body.
“Is this…?” you whispered, looking into his eyes. Yours were filled with tears, tears that Frank hoped were tears of happiness.
Frank simply nodded and was able to say a single word: “Please…”
A whisper.
A prayer. A plea to life, to the second chance he had before him; a plea to you. To his new world, to the treasure that lay beneath his fingers, which he had the delight of enjoying every day.
Guilt had tormented Frank for months. Guilt, the idea of replacing his old life, his old love. But now… now that he had you before him, he could only think that this wasn't wrong. It wasn't wrong to want a life with you, to want to call you his wife and kiss you like Mrs. Castle. It wasn't wrong to accept that this was his new world, that you were his new world. He wasn't betraying anyone; he would only betray the memories of the dead if he let himself die without cause.
You were his in every way except that, and Frank, for the first time in years, felt lighter. You made him feel light in a world that held him in chains. You made him swim to the surface in an ocean of death and damnation. He wanted you as his wife.
“Yes,” you whispered, nodding several times. “A thousand times yes.”
Frank cupped your hands in his, removed the box, and took out the ring. He didn't care that his hands trembled as he slipped the ring onto your finger. He didn't care that tears escaped his eyes.
He kissed you with the fullness of his being, with the passion of someone who had been lost in death for a long time and, instead of wanting to rise again into life, had found a companion who would walk among the dead by his side.
Instead of resting in solitude, he now had someone willing to rest beside him.
“I love you,” Frank told you.
And there were no safer words than those.
notes: when i saw that post, the idea wouldn't leave my head, so i decided to do it with my three favorite men.
it's pretty quick :P but the truth is, i wasn't going to be at peace until I'd written it.

Matthew Murdock aka Daredevil who was born a twin. You were older by 7 minutes and you held that above Matt's head. You never really cared about school, while Matt studied, you did odd jobs in the apartment complex for money. You were always very protective of your baby brother. Walking him to and from school every day.
You were there for the accident. You had tried to pull him back, but when Matt set his mind to help someone, he did. As soon as Matt screamed from the chemicals, you rushed forward. You tried to clean the chemicals away from his eyes best you could, ignoring the burns it left on your fingers.
Matt can to this day remember you begging for help, holding him in your arms.
You helped tremendously to Matt's adjustment to be being blind, learning braille right along with him, helping him around. You bought Matt soundproof headphones with your own money.
When your father was shot, you begged Matt to stay inside, but ultimately followed him outside. While Matt moved to wherever he was needed, you were giving the police information. When the two of you got to the church, you both passed out almost immediately, but Matt awoke the next morning and found you sitting with your back against the wall next to his bed, asleep.
You hated the church. You hated that they wouldn't let you go do work. So you snuck out, looking for anyone that would hire a kid. That's when you discovered that the chemicals had affected you too. Your hands were strong, you could lift heavy items with no trouble. A construction worker took pity on you, hired you for $7 an hour.
Matt hated that he didnt know where his sibling was. You wouldn't tell him. You came home exhausted smelling like the ground. You were usually gone when Matt woke up, and got to school late, if you showed up at all. Matt heard the nuns mutter about what a waste you were.
Whenever Matt needed anything, you were there. You got him a better cane, his red glasses, nicer sheets, his favorite snacks. You patched Matt up when he got into fights, helped Matt with reading. Even though the two of you were twins, you acted years older.
The church began to take notice of your sins. They told you not to skip, but you couldn't stop working. What if Matt broke his glasses again? What if he needed new headphones? You refused. You were punished.
Matt heard it. He heard you get beat, thrown into isolation. Over and over and over. One night he asked you why you stayed.
"Who else would make sure you dont fall down a flight of stairs?" You tried to joke as you winced from flexing your shoulders.
One morning, as you walked home from work, $30 in your pocket, the sun was still rising, a man came behind you. He put a knife to your throat and demanded money. You couldn’t give him your money, you needed to get Matt money for his schoolbooks in braille! The man droned on in your ear, all you could think about was Matt. You had to get back. In an instant, you stepped on the man’s shoe and bolted away. You paid no mind to the thin cut on your neck. You ignored the man’s shouts and ran to the church. The man managed to grab your pant leg as you climbed the stairs, he pulled you down and pinned you under him, holding the knife to your cheek. You used your strength to push off the concrete and flip around, the knife clattering a few inches away. You grabbed it. The metal was warm in your hands.
Matt arose to the sound of screams just outside the church. You hadn’t returned, Matt’s heart began to beat faster as he rushed to the commotion. When he stepped outside, his nose was immediately filled with the smell of blood. He tried to make sense of what he could hear and smell. You, standing above a man…a dead man, blood all over the stairs. A priest stepped forward.
“You have spilled blood on the stairs of a holy building. You are a devil. Be gone.” The man held a crucifix out infront of you.
“N-no! You can’t do that someone has to take care of Matth-“ You begged as someone dragged you away. You couldn’t even focus on who. Just Matt standing there, his lips pursed. The crucifix infront of you.
Matt listened to you leave. He tried to go with you, but sister Sarah wouldn’t allow it.
They always did say the Murdocks had the devil in them.
AN: if you are not sirbones than ignore this. Oooh Sirbones when I get you Sirbones.
Frank Castle aka The Punisher who was working at the construction site when he met you. You were also there a lot of overtime. You sat alone for lunch, no one tried to talk to you.
One day Frank needed to know where a tool was. He went to you, seeing that you were much less bothersome than the others. He waited for you to finish the wall you were working on, then cleared his throat.
"Hey. D'ya know where they moved the demolition forks?"
You turned to Frank. The first thing Frank noticed was the scar on your neck. It looked like you had been sliced in the neck, and the scar didnt heal just right. You started moving your hands in what Frank assumed was ASL.
"Uh. I dont know what you're saying. You mute or something?" You nodded. "Ok...uh, can you show me where the forks are?" You nodded again and walked off.
Life just went like that. You sat with Frank for lunch, worked nearby each other, you were a runaway. Things had gotten messy, youd been on your own since you were 13. You actually lived in the same building as him, so the two of you walked home together often. Frank was slowly picking up sign language just from being around yoh so often. You knew about Lisa and the kids, about the Marines, everything.
When shit started going down, and Frank had to pick up the Punihser suit again, you stood by him. He tried to push you away, but you wouldnt budget.
"Its too dangerous.
"I dont care. You can't just dissappear. I can fight. I will fight."
"I knoe you can." It was true, one night the two of you were at a bar, and Frank got into some trouble, and you punched the guy so hard, he passed out. "But this is more than punching a drunk! This is killing!"
"I've killed before. I'm willing to do it again for a friend."
"Fuck. There's no letting this go is there?"
"No."
You were there for everything. Russo, Madani, Amy, that priest dude, and not once did you falter. It almost scared Frank. You were so willing to do what was necessary.
You did pack quite a punch. One night, you admitted to Frank the you had special abilities. You had gotten your hands splashed by chemicals when you were very young, giving you stronger skin, muscle and bones.
You patched Frank up whenever he needed, refused to let him do it alone. Made sure Frank was actually eating something and sleeping...a little.
He knew you had nightmares. He had heard you make sounds in your sleep, your eyebrows knit together. One very very late night you opened up.
"I had a brother. I gave up everything for him, gave up my childhood. I killed to protect him. We were-"
Frank wasn't sure what the following sign was, so you clarified.
"No mom, dad."
"Orphans?"
"Orphans. The orphanage sent me away when I killed."
“Is your brother still alive?”
“Don’t know. He was disabled. Might have had a hard time.”
Frank just sat in the silence with you. When all the shit that the punisher brought had been slowing down, you found that you loved to cook. Frank gladly teacher you everything he knew, and helped you get into a culinary class. You parted ways there.
2 years later, you heard a knock on the door of you apartment, you huffed. It was late, who could it possibly be?
You opened the door to none other than Frank Castle himself, a bit more wrinkled around the eyes, a few grey hairs in his hair visible.
“I need help.”
“What kind?”
“A…friend of mine is going through something. He can’t do it alone. Just one night.”
“…Fuck it.”
I’ve been working on a poetry book for a little bit over a year now, I have the manuscript done, the cover, I FINALLY received my certification from the copyright office so I thought I would be cruising from here on out and all I had to do was upload to KDP and we’d be good. WRONG! I uploaded the manuscript and kdp is putting random blank pages that aren’t in my file, all throughout the book. Despite me writing everything in the size format that worked for the size I want the book, there’s still poems leaking onto other pages even though it all looks perfect in the file. I literally don’t know what to do cuz I’m not good with anything past the basics when it comes to Word and Google Docs so I had to contact my editor and see if she knows what’s going on. I’m just so tired of everything be so difficult 😭😭
Me searching for fanfics after watching a series/film/videogame/reading a book and becoming obsessed with that character:
the love habit
You've never met Superman before.
You can't say you really want to — because meeting him probably means you're in some kind of trouble. You try your best to keep out of trouble.
But when trouble finds you all on its own, you end up getting your first close-encounter with Metropolis' most beloved hero.
And he's... nice. Really rather friendly.
In fact, so friendly, you're worried you might have to let him know that you do, in fact, already have a boyfriend.
(Or: Clark debates whether to divulge his big, blue secret - until he has no choice.)

You’re not sure what it is about Metropolis, but a lot of not very bright people seem to live here.
Plenty of bright people too! You knew your fair share of them, of course, but there appeared to be a disconnect in some people’s brains that you couldn’t quite puzzle out.
You see, some people, when there’s danger — they head towards it, instead of away.
You suppose it’s probably because of Superman.
honey I could write so much about what I love about this fic!!! Your characterization of Clark is exceptional!!! I've never seen such a beautiful representation of who Clark really is (his core values, characteristics, etc.) than in this fic. It is just beautiful and you did such a great job and it makes me feel so warm and happy 😭😭😭 also!!!! I just love your writing style. You have such a wonderful way of blending character thought with world description and dialog and I just love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I'm gonna binge the rest of your writing omg!!!! I'm so happy to have found you

"sweetheart, i got it."
"i know you do, honey, but the people of new york are observant. they'll either think you're another super soldier or—"
clark sets down the insane amount of luggage in his arms at your knowing gaze, arms crossed as the cab driver that had just dropped the both of you off at the cozy cabin near upstate new york gawks at your fiance.
the cab driver hedges forward. "is he...?"
you shake your head with a firm press of your lips. "nope. my fiance's just from kansas. farm boy muscles and all that." while it looks like the cabbie doesn't really believe you, you've got that edge that all new yorkers never really shed so the man nods and drives off.

I don’t think I can even properly express how attractive Tyler Owens is, I’ve watched the movie to many times just to see Glen Powell as a cowboy and to fangirl. I would cook, I would clean, I would do the laundry, and I would be stealing that god damn cowboy hat all the time.

۶ৎ “wake your ass up!” is the first thing you heard in the early morning, a groan coming from your lips as you quickly put your hands over your face to protect your eyes from the blaring sun and your best friend getting ready to get a running jump onto your bed.
a ‘oomf’ left you as you suddenly had a bunch of weight on top of you, your bestfriend, tyler, having jumped right on top of you, eager to get you awake so you could leave the motel you stayed at last night. “you’re way to heavy for this” you whined, pushing at his head.
you and tyler have been best friends since diapers, you’ve known him for as long as you’ve had conscience, considering each other siblings at this point. “oh shut up, i’m light as a damn feather” he said, chuckling as he pushed himself up so he was hovering above you, looking down at you. “it’s time to go chasin’ hunny” he spoke with his southern twang, grinning down at you with teeth that were almost blinding white. you huffed, your head turning to look at the alarm clock next to you before up at him. “at seven in the damn morning? really owens?” you questioned, your hands shooting up to shove him off of you, the sound of a loud thud echoed through the motel room followed by a loud groan of pain.
you got ready fairly quickly, just taking a quick shower and styling your hair before throwing whatever the hell you could find in your suitcase. it was too early, so you really couldn’t care what you looked like at this time of day.
on the bathroom counter, your phone buzzed. you picked it up curiously, and felt a small smile spread across your lips when you saw who texted you. scott.
you two knew how wrong it was. not only were you betraying your best friends, but you were also putting his business in jeopardy, and tyler’s channel in danger. you two just couldn’t seem to stop though.
it started during one of the chases. in tyler’s little group you were always the one that could tell when storms were coming since you studied meteorology in college. you were standing in the middle of a field by a motel you all stopped at when he approached you. his glasses and hat on as he smacked on a piece of gum as he mostly always did. he was so cocky and you wanted nothing more than to wipe that smug grin off his damn face as he taunted you and tyler and the whole group. you had ignored him at first, and then it started with little sarcastic jabs to each other whenever you crossed paths. one night, after a tough chase where you nearly almost died, scott made a little remark to how you work, how it’s dangerous and you’ll get yourself killed one of these days. something in you snapped. you don’t even remember how it started, one second you were sitting down at a table, the next your finger is jabbing into his chest as you yelled at him, cursing him to hell as you blew up. scott had just stared down at you as you yelled, letting you get your anger out. you had made a comment about how javi probably doesn’t even like him, and then out of pure anger, he grabbed your jaw and forced you to look up at him. the next thing you knew you woke up in his motel room.
it was supposed to be a one time thing, you both agreed on it. you two were not good for each other in any way. you hated his entire being and he hated yours. so why did you open your door that night to him leaning against the doorway looking down at you with a look of pure hunger. he didn’t even give you a chance to shut him out, just using his intimidating height to push you back, his eyes on yours as he pushed his way inside, slowly shutting the door behind him.
now you’re here.
he had just texted you asking if you saw the storm that was rolling in in broken arrow, oklahoma. which was about an hour away from where you were. you responded back that you guys were on your way. he responded with a simple thumbs up. that was that. you two kept it short and simple, and you never texted each other unless you were alone.
· · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · ·
tyler let out a loud chuckle of excitement, waking you up from your nap in the passenger seat. boone sat behind you, letting out a loud whoop of excitement. you sat up, letting out a semi irritated sigh as you looked at where they were looking at. you rolled your eyes at the sight of all the tourists, tyler’s ‘fans’ who chased them around like they were damn saints. they were going to get themselves killed one of these days. your annoyance slightly faded when you saw the storm par vans pulling in to the parking lot the same time as you, having to hide your little grin as you looked down at your lap realizing that you guys were staying at the same motel again.
you all stepped out of the van, lily dexter and dani pulling in behind you guys in the RV. tyler was immediately met with cheers, you and the others getting the merch that you guys made, which all sales go to victims of devastating storms.
as you got set up, you excused yourself since you wanted to go to the bathroom to clean up after the hour long car ride you just endured.
you found the bathrooms semi quick, since they were always mostly in the same place at motels. as you walked in and went to shut the door, a hand shot out, keeping the door open as his body slid in. your eyes went up to him as he looked down at you while shutting the door behind him, locking it.
you let out a laugh as he suddenly leaned down, wrapping his arms around your waist as he lifted you up just enough that you were eye level, a small grin raising onto both of your faces. “no, i look gross right now” you said with a laugh as you pushed down at his hands, trying to get him to release you. “i don’t think you could look gross even if you tried” he said, his head ducking down to bury into your neck as he inhaled your scent, his body walking you both forward as he lifted you high enough to sit you down on the sink counter.
he moved his face away enough just to lean in, his nose brushing yours as he gently connected your lips, his hands moving to rest on your hips. you could feel his muscles relax as your hands slid to wrap your arms around his neck, feeling him breathe out like he was relieved to have your lips on his again as he moved his lips gently against yours.
“missed you” he mumbled softly against your lips. he rarely showed this side even when you two were alone, his walls around him built high. so, when you were given access to this side of him, you drank it in. “missed u too” you mumbled back against his lips, your eyes looking up at him as you kept your lips basically against each other while he looked down at you as well. he let out a hum, pulling away slightly as he ran his hand through your hair, his other hand dropped to rest against the sink next to your legs.
“so” scott began, his head ducking down to place a gentle kiss at the spot underneath your ear, knowing it was sensitive as he kissed it, gently bit down on it, then soothed the sting with his tongue. “hm?” you hummed out softly, your head tilting to the other side to grant him more access. he kept silent for a moment, just focused on kissing your neck, leaving gentle nibbles so you’d get marked up, so everyone knows you’re not available. “when are you going to join me?” he mumbled against your skin.
you froze slightly, trying to process his words. your eyebrows furrowed. “what?” you questioned, letting out a soft laugh, followed by a soft gasp as he bit down slightly hard at a sensitive spot on your neck. “when will you join storm par? leave the chaotic mess behind?” he questioned.
you immediately leaned back, gently pushing his body away, your eyebrows furrowed up at him. “what are you talking about, scott?” you asked. he looked down at you. “you know what i’m talking about.” he said firmly. “you’re going to get yourself killed with them, you belong with me anyways, where you’ll be safe” he spoke.
you couldn’t believe what you were hearing right now. you knew he hated tyler, but to try and get you to leave him behind. “scott, those people are my family i’m not leaving them” you told him, causing his jaw to clench as he looked down at your lap. “they’re chaotic and they’re a mess, you really want to keep going straight into the middle of killer storms? you’re going to get killed” he spoke, his voice slightly raising. you scoffed, shoving him off of you as you got down from the counter. “you’re forgetting you get right up on them too, miller, you can die anytime of day what difference does it make?” you argue back, his eyes looking down at you in frustration.
“no, you know what, fuck you scott” you said just as he opened his mouth to argue back with you. you turned around, swinging the door open and walking out, letting it slam shut behind you as you walked back to tyler and the others, shaking your head, feeling like a complete idiot.

“Dammit woman, can’t you see how much I want you?”

Genre: smut, romantic and fluffy
Word count: 5.8k
Summary: Shy and painfully oblivious reader and Tyler who is head over heels for her, desperate for any shred of attention.
Warnings: Slow burn, Tyler being obsessed with reader riding him, lots of unprotected sex, sex in the show, p in v sex, riding him in his truck.
a/n: I don't really have much to say about this one tbh. But as always, I hope you enjoy and let me know if you have any requests!
Tyler Owens and shy reader you say? Who gets flustered every time he looks at them? Who hides their face in his chest to “escape” his gaze? Tyler who wants to kiss her so bad and she’s so flustered.
Hide and Seek - Tyler Owens x Reader
come participate in tyler owens night !
Seeing Tyler Owens while out pumping gas was all you'd needed to know that you weren't the type of person to be capable of dating him. He was all outgoing smiles, signatures thrown here and there to an adoring crowd, and you'd tucked your head to your chest as if it would make the tank fill faster to your rental car.
Well, truck, really, because that had been the only vehicle the agency hadn't rented out yet. You'd needed the truck for only a day, just to get to work and back when your car was in the shop, but its gaudy red exterior had caught Tyler's attention and he'd called over to you from the opposite end of the station.
"Hey there, Red. Nice truck you got."
WORTH YOUR WHILE
pairing. Tyler Owens x fem!reader
summary. as the local weather woman, you shared an interesting rivalry with your hometown storm-chaser. while you always reported on the dangerous weather from a safe distance, tyler barreled into it head-first. but things change the night of the county fair when you find yourself in the middle of a storm rather than in the safely of a newsroom.
warnings. dramatic fluff, hurt/comfort, description of tornados, a curse word or two, description of injury, slightly inaccurate meteorological info.

a/n. hopping on the glen powell bandwagon bc he and daisy absolutely killed it in twisters!! feel free to send me requests for tyler, kate, and javi!
“If you keep looking at him like that your face will get stuck in a scowl, which is really bad for television,” your friend said, leaning into your side. With a roll of your eyes, you managed to pull your attention away from the self-titled ‘tornado wrangler’ who had stirred up a fuss in the line for funnel cakes. People buzzed all around him as he signed shirts and took photos, never dropping his smile that you often dreamed about smacking right off of his face.
