We had Northern Lights yesterday here in Germany - a rare occasion! It was my third Aurora sighting in the last two years, and the strongest one of the three. Here are a couple of photos of all three Aurora days.

Pantone chose the Color of the Year: a boring white hue. I checked my photos for colors that nature offers instead - there are plenty of options. Phthalo Green seems to be one of the strong contenders for the Color of the Year on Social Media. What is yours?

I am lucky enough to have a kingfisher territory closeby. With a lot of patience I have been able to take lots of photos of kingfishers relatively closely (both the adult pair and young ones). All photos: © Foe Rodens

I had the chance to visit Dragonstone - San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in the Basque Country - the last year. It was one of my favourite photo trips in that month in northern Spain.
