Every morning found Demi at the beach. It was quiet, peaceful. In those moments he’s alone in his thoughts and focused on the waves which rolled ahead. They lapped at his bare feet and he thought of those years where he and Luka lived in Malta, their home overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. He’d swim in their pool and relax on their patio just before he’d get up and prepare coffee to help wake Luka from sleep. He missed those days but they had their own version of it here so he shouldn’t complain.
The towel Demi brought dropped to the sand, next to his sandals, and Demi stretched his arms up to the sky. It was slow and fluid as he continued in his own version of a mediation which wasn’t difficult with the warmth of the air, sounds of the ocean and the salty scent which encompassed him. As he rolled his shoulders and clasped his hand onto his wrist Demi turned towards a new sound of sand crunching underfoot. Someone else was on the beach and nearby. Demi’s eyes opened and noticed a woman not far from him. He wasn’t used to others around this area in the early mornings and acknowledged them with a nod and “Good morning. I didn’t expect to see someone else. Are you here to swim, too?” He asked the blonde, assuming she’s a princess as he didn’t recognize her from any of the crew.
Leilani was shortly falling back into her routine that she had when she was back home. The Australian was a morning person; much rather spending her mornings being productive than sleeping in till noon and not having the chance to do anything. Back in Australia, one of the first things that the brunette would do was go down to the beach. She didn’t always swim (or surf), sometimes she would spend her morning bathing in the sun, getting a piece of tranquility before a usually stressful day. Emerald hues landed on a dark-haired figure, knowing that he was most likely here for the same reason that she was. “Morning,” A small smile was aimed in his direction. “Yeah... the little slice of homey-ness I’m able to get here, I’ll most definitely take advantage of.” She hums, moving closer to the shoreline. “Plus, it’s much more peaceful being out without other people, don’t you think?”
