Oh my god, youâre so sweet thank you so much! To be honest, a lot my my process is very preemptive- I have a couple dozen pinterest boards specifically dedicated to pictures I might one day use for a moodboard! For example, I have a board of princess aesthetics, a board of brunette aesthetics, group aesthetics, alcohol aesthetics, castle aesthetics, etc (and I crosspost a lot of things)! Then, when I want to make a board, I take note of themes and/or images that I want to use (for example when I was making my cinderella moodboard, I knew I wanted a glass slipper, when I made Belle I knew I wanted a library, that sort of thing) and then I go into my boards and look for those images, as well as any others that might catch my attention! If I run out of ideas, I might look at what other people have made and see if anything jumps out at me! On occasion, if I have an idea but canât find anything for it, I take my own photos too! At some point I might post two moodboards that I made for myself, which include some of my own pictures! None of the ones Iâve posted yet have my own, but there are a couple that Iâm working on that do! Once Iâve found my pictures (I like to have a couple of backups in case any of them are too small or donât work with the colour scheme or something), I start messing around in photoshop! First off, I always crop with a 1:1 ratio so that the pictures are square. With Disney moodboards, a lot of princesses have their own colour, so to speak (blue for Cinderella, purple for Rapunzel, green for Tiana, etc), so I like to use those as the colour schemes. Whatâs most important is that I always use adjustment layers rather than directly editing the photo, so that I can go back and change something if need be. After that, I adjust the size (I use either 300x300 px or 500x500 px). Once thatâs done, I save the images to my computer (donât close them, you might want to come back and undo something!) and then open them on tumblr. From there, I just screw around with positioning until I find something that I like! Sometimes I open them and come up with an idea right away (my rapunzel board was designed so that the top row was her life within the tower -the hairbrush, the flower, and the paint brushes, then the middle row was the loneliness and isolation, and the bottom row was freedom -grass, a horse, and the tower from the outside). Sometimes it doesnât come that easily and I just keep trying until something looks nice and cohesive. After that Iâm typically done, but I donât close the pictures on photoshop until Iâve published the set, just in case I want to make any changes or undo anything.Iâm sorry for how long-winded this was, but I really hope this answered the question! Thank you so much for your ask, it means the world to me â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
