because damn Kristen Bell is too captivating to ignore (even for my non straight view) i have not not stopped watching (or more appropriately six-rewatching) Veronica Mars (best show ever, sorry buffster) i have neglected my stack of ever growing comics for the month of May. and since the world so obviously can't keep spinning without them, forthcoming shall be 18(?) thought provoking thoughts.

fashion boy problems have long postponed my weekly comic ritual....lamer...though i have seen more actual boobs in my face in one day that ill bet some shall go their lives with out seeing...

so no real losers this week, thankfully, but no crazy super omg isshs, 

first up: Avengers vs X-Men: Versus 1. nice lil companion title to the core AvX series. plentyful of violence, and quirky dialogue. sadly i no likey that both X-men lost in this issue, thoiugh its builds up their overall inevitable triumph over the lame ass avengers.

Astonishing X-Men 49  still liking the artwork, storyline is kinda bleh bleh, but the team is pretty cool. plenty of Northstar up front and center...in tight spandex...kissing boys. gladd award for comics here you come. 

verdict

X-Men Legacy 265  nice touching lil conclusion to this old bomb man storyline. initally very worried about how Christopher Gage would write for Rogue after le amazing Mike Carey, but im still very content with her character. ahh and i do like the loverly looking bear hug exchanged between LeBeau and her

also i was secretly hoping the entire arc would lead up to some gay revelation between mimic and weapon omega, sadly a no

 one can wish...

verdict

UNCANNY X-MEN 11 avx hits. chaos ensues. kinda like how its basically AvX 1 and 2 from the other peoples minds and such. greg land drawing phoenix is gonna be sick (under the assumptions phoenix is gonna be hope and gonna be a predominant character in Uncanny X-Men come post AvX. so once again, cyclops continues his insanity rambles

and piotr continues to look like a crazy monster thing. i kinda like how we finally after almost a year get more of an insight to his new (or evidently old) form, and its crazy antics. 

and lastly Angel & Faith 9   very action packed finale to this very intriguing arc. glad non crazy drusilla didnt stick around for too long. also written by Gage. the characters are spot on, if not better than the series(angel especially). dare i say i prefer this series to the core Buffy series? it is possible. really excited by this prospect of an angel/faith romance 

but even if they dont go there i like their ass kicking duo

oh and angel has a nipple ring now

more stray clueless needs and wants and observations

more weekend life un-fulfilment has caused me to watch clueless way to close to whenever the last time i watched it was. in short this one part hit way to close too home(not so much in my current state) way back in 07 (dear god) when i failed for my g2 for the first time and cried and sat on my vent moping about all the other failures in my life

yes, yes and yes. i was a seventeen year old virgin who couldnt drive and watched way too effeminate films that often were the focus of my constant ridicule-ment.

and such the most fathomable day of the week is upon us, new comic wednesday. and what a glorious day it is. 5/6 titles of the week are x-titles. brap brap

soo the good, the bad, the 90210 replacements, and the continued presence of the power ranger known as spider-man

onto the bad:

Wolverine & the X-Men 9: avx takes over, but it just felt like scenes taking in between of issue 1, so i feel its kinda late coming. the bright side, i like the appearance at the end of Gladiator's ominous words. that and Blindfold's crying. dun dun duh

Amazing Spider-Man 684: part the third of "ends of the world" which im still not liking the premise of. nor stupid robo looking spider-man, nor his cocky pimp like 70s detective team hes currently running. point in proof

like bitch please. 

Uncanny X-Force 24: standalone aoa nightcrawler issue, kinda bleh, nothing crazy good. plus im not on board with this Psylocke/Fantomex thingy. the bright side was the not so subtle almost man sex looking panels with aoa bobby and aoa nightcrawler

we all know that if bobby was gay, northstar would so be all up in that (pun fully intended) 

the GOOD: AvX 2. story fully kicked in to like third gear, so much violence, plus seriously cyclops must have some looney brain tumour, if he still gets to lead the x-men when this is all over, someone at marvel is very not right. my nom for leader obvi Emma. who else can be this badass

bitch just got diamond punched. 

ooh and for once Hope is not annoying me, mainly cause shes looking all Dark Phoenix. and she beats up Wolverine, whom sucks

oh and magik snags dr strange looking all awesome

and as for the others which i fulfilling my need of some 90210-dawsons creek-gossip girl-esque drams 

X-Factor 234: another non disappointing issue of the stellar shenanigans of the x-factor investigations crew. not even the 12(!) cast members make it feel to crowded, though i wish we could actually get some rictor or longshot lines. i wonder if eventually Madrox and Havok will go all cyclops and wolverine and have their own schism.

New Mutants 41: said once, and saying it again, the cast is so badass, the dialogue is awesome and the costumes all match. it didnt even bother me that aside from Blink not one of the new mutants actually used their powers this issue. i guess the gay in me appreciates all the teen(?) angsty issues that kinda came to head. particularly...

so tied between which hour or half hour of mind numbing futility i enjoyed most this week. blatantly not gossip girl, and the lack of new merlin takes that choice away. big bang was lacking blossom and commuinty lacked any britta dialogue or moving annie. surprisingly ringer was actually decent but still not a real contender. 

so it comes down to the beloved zooey d in new girl and happy endings sophmore conclusion.

happy endings lacked some rambles of jess (see title) and a fun new term for masturbation (self completing)

new girl however lacked MANdonna, a crippled older David Silver, and plain old max singing like a prayer, aka the song i blast when my sunroof is open to warn my neighbours that trouble he is a brewing. 

ps since im obliged to gg it up, some stuff happened, then dan and blair had sex the only way i know how, belligerantly drunken. and she probably had the best outfit in what was a boring fahion episode

though is not the point of miscarrigaes to avoid having weird straightish fit clothes. (Booo, poor tatse)
