Lomba Cepat Tepat Ilmu Pangan ke-22 (Press release)
Lomba Cepat Tepat Ilmu Pangan (LCTIP) ke-22 dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu dan Minggu tanggal 11 dan 12 Oktober 2014 di Auditorium Gizi Masyarakat Sains dan Komunikasi IPB. LCTIP ke-22 diikuti oleh 50 tim dari SMA/sederajat di Indonesia dimana peserta tidak hanya terpusat di pulau Jawa, melainkan tersebat dari SMA seluruh Indonesi. Lomba yang mengusung tema “ Science up your sweet pleasur”ini terdiri dari 4 tahap perlombaan yaitu, tahap penyisihan, perempat final, semifinal, dan final. Tahap penyisihan dan perempat final dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu tanggal 11 Oktober 2014, sedangkan tahap semifinal dan final dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu tanggal 12 Oktober 2014.
Hari pertama LCTIP ke-22, Sabtu, 11 Oktober 2014, peserta melakukan registrasi pukul 07.00 WIB dan acara dimulai puluk 08.00 WIB. Sebelum bertanding di tahap penyisihan, para peserta mendapatkan informasi mengenai “All about Cajuput candy” yang disampaikan oleh Prof. Dr. Ir. C. Hanny Wijaya, M.Agr (researcher Cajuput Candy. Materi yang memperkenalkan permen kayu putih (Cajuput candy) tersebut ikut serta ke dalam soal di tahap penyisihan. Pukul 10.00 WIB babak penyisihan dimulai, para peserta terbagi ke dalam beberapa kelas untuk mengisi soal di tahap penyisihan yang terdiri dari soal Matematika, Kimia, Fisika, Biologi, dan Ilmu Pangan. Selama tahap penyisihan berlangsung, guru pendamping mengikuti Stadium General mengenai pengenalan Departemen Ilmu dan Teknologi Pangan di Ruang Sidang Ilmu dan Teknologi Pangan. Berbeda dengan tahun lalu dimana tim yang lolos ke tahap perempat final adalah tim terbaik dari masing-masing kelas, tahun ini penilaian dilakukan secara keseluruhan dimana tim yang berhasil lolos ke tahap perempatfinal adalah 18 tim terbaik dari seluruh tim yang mengikuti LCTIP ke-22. Tahap perempat final dilaksanakan pukul 15.00 WIB, berbeda dengan tahap penyisihan, pada tahap ini jenis perlombaan adalah lomba cepat tepat. Penilaian dilakukan secara keseluruhan dan tim yang berhasil lolos ke tahap semifinal berjumlah 9 tim.
Semifinal dan final LCTIP ke-22 masuk ke dalam rangkaian acara Seminar Nasional yang dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu, 12 Oktober 2014. Tahap perempat final dilaksanakan pukul 09.00 WIB, tim yang berhasil lolos ke tahap final adalah tim dari SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, Sekolah Menengah Analis Kimia Bogor (SMAKBO), dan SMA Kristen 3 Penabur Jakarta. Final LCTIP ke-22 dilaksanakan pukul 13.00 WIB dan disaksikan oleh peserta Seminar Nasional. Pada tahap ini, peserta berlomba-lomba untuk menjawab 80 soal yang terbagi ke dalam beberapa tipe soal. SMA Kristen 3 Penabur Jakarta berhasil meraih juara pertama LCTIP ke-22, juara ke-2 adalah SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, dan juara ke-3 adalah Sekolah Menengah Analis Kimia Bogor (SMAKBO) -

But, we’re sorry you don’t get the chance yet to be the 5 finalists of 12th NSPC. Don’t be worry, as the best 20 teams you still have a chance to get “Best Displayed Product” prize. Therefore, you have to prepare your team to display your prototypes and products on Food Ingredients Asia Expo, Kemayoran Jakarta Utara that will be held at October 15th, 2014 as we already announced before.
We’ll provide you a free accommodation from Bogor (IPB) to Jakarta (JIExpo or hotel) (October 14th 2014) and Jakarta (JIExpo or hotel) to Bogor (IPB) (October 15th 2014), hotel for one night (October 14th 2014), lunch and coffee break (October 15th, 2014) only for one representative that you’ve registered before. We won’t be responsible for another accommodation. For further information, if there are another participants of your team besides the representative who wants to join Food Ingredients Asia Expo, we’ll provide you entry ticket to FIA expo by registered your name to our email ([email protected]), but all of accommodation isn’t our responsible.
Note for all the best 20 teams:
Your product must be on display in FIA expo for three days. It will be your responsibility to prepare their own needs for products display (product and booth decoration). On Oct 15th it will be the responsibility of each team to display their own in expo, meanwhile on Oct 16th and 17th your product will be displayed and presented by NSPC's committee. So, you have to make and prepare your product as much as you need, not only the prototype, but also the products as taster that you can give to the visitors in expo for three days.

We gladly announce that the National Student Paper Competition has found the top 20 from all the papers that has been submitted.
As the best 20 teams, you gain a great opportunity to attend and display your products in Food Ingredients Asia Expo, Jakarta ! So, from now you should prepare your product’s ready to be displayed in front of many visitors and exhibitors around the world in Food Ingredients Asia Expo, October 15th 2014 in JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. In this stage, the judges will give assessment for displaying product from each team and the selected one will deserve a prize as the best diplayer. We’ll provide a free accomodation from Bogor (IPB) to Jakarta (JIExpo or hotel) (October 14th 2014) and Jakarta (JIExpo or hotel) to Bogor (IPB) (October 15th 2014), hotel for one night (October 14th 2014), and lunch (October 15th, 2014) only for one representative from each teams. Terms of Products Display
Participants may use any media presentation (i.e. poster, banner, etc) and decorate the booth.
Participants should prepare their own needs for products display.
The name of the representative should be registered before October 6th 2014 by sending to our email: (the name of representative)_(university)_( the name of product)
Participants should wear collared shirt, college’s almamater, shoes, and neatly hair while in FIA area.
Committee is not responsible for another accomodation fee besides accomodation that has been explained above,
Not to forget, we will inform you that from these best 20 teams, the judges will select the best 5 finalists to present their papers by using any media presentations (i.e. power point presentation, video, and poster) and prototype in front of judges and observers from food industries in Food Ingredients Asia Expo on October 15th 2014 to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runner place. More detail informations about which team will be the best 5 finalist and the other information about final steps will be announced on October 7th 2014 at 09.00 pm. Theme :
Make sweet revolution with functional confectionery
Terms of competition :
Participants are group of S1 (bachelor) or D3 (diploma) students from universities in Indonesia, a group consists of 2 - 3 people per group.
Participants are not limited only to food science and technology students but students from any other discipline are also welcome to join.
Theme can be explored from various perspectives. Participant may elaborate on the topics from different point of view scientifically according to their scientific background, i.e. novel processing method, economical feasibility, proof of efficacy, safety issue, etc.
The submiited papers should be fit within the defined. Submitted papers must be the participants original, not the results of plagiarism and have never been published before.
The submitted paper is not allowed to be submitted to any other similar competitions and have never been submitted to any other similar competition.
The paper should be written in a proper English.

Lomba Cepat Tepat Ilmu Pangan (LCTIP) is a competiton for senior high school student. Each team consists of 3 people. What the most incredible here is its main prize. Instead of money, the special prize for the first winner is the golden ticket to The Department of Food and Science Technology. Wuhu~
