Clark heard the meow from three blocks away. He slowed in midair, head turning toward the apartment building until he spotted a familiar streak of orange balanced on the twelfth-floor ledge. For one long second, Superman simply hovered there with his cape shifting behind him, staring at the cat with the exhausted recognition of a man who had already participated in this particular rescue once before.

“Oh, no,” he murmured. “Lois is going to blame me for this somehow.”

He drifted closer until he was level with the window, moving carefully so the wind from his approach wouldn’t startle the cat. Clark held both hands out, palms open, and softened his voice into the same coaxing tone he used for frightened children and particularly stubborn farm animals.

“Hey there, Foofoo. Remember me?” His brows lifted hopefully. “How about you come over here, and we get you back inside before your mom finds out you’ve taken up high-rise adventuring?”

He paused, looking down at the twelve stories of empty air beneath the ledge, then back at the orange culprit. “And please don’t make me explain to Lois that I lost her cat.”

Mrow?

*Mr. Foofoo simply tilted her head in question, but her eyes glimmered in a way that made it seem like she understood what he had said clearly.*

Purrrr

*She butted her head out, rubbing against Superman's hands.*

Mow!

*She then leapt onto Superman's shoulders.*

//OOC, Real Talk.

I'm gonna be honest, I've been extremely exhausted lately. I do have stuff going on that requires a lot of my time, but that's not the reason why I'm exhausted.

I've had so many ideas lately, but I just don't have the motivation to do all of them. I've started multiple fics and have released none of them because I just can't make them good enough.

On here, I've had ideas for RPs that I can't do because I don't know enough people on here, or are just on indefinite hiatus. (If you're one of my mutuals reading this, this isn't a call out post or anything, I'm not upset about anything, luv ya!)

I don't want to say that I'm burnt out, because I still love everything I've been able to do and share online, but I am stuck, and I don't know how to get unstuck. I'm used to staying in my own little corner, both in real life and online, and I guess that's part of the problem. I really need to expand my bubble, and meet people on here.

Sorry that this post is kinda a mess 🤦🏻‍♂️ this started out as just me trying to talk about how I've felt, and then it turned into me working through my thoughts in real time 😅

Anyways, all this to say that if I'm not very active it's because I don't know how to be active, if that makes sense.
