Did a little redesign of one of my dnd characters because I last drew her multiple years ago and her design was very dull lmao.

Gave her some coin details because she's a cleric dedicated to the goddess of luck and fate. She's also an air genasi, and her first level is in rogue because she came to be follower of her goddess after a series of lucky escapes lmao

Felt like drawing My Boy as part of my ongoing quest to nail down a colour scheme and design for his robes. We are still no closer to that goal but it did give me the opportunity to draw him with his daemon from the daemon au that I've been rotating a bunch. (More details below cut)

Firstly, I am shamelessly stealing the name format from Wolf In The Bamboo! So daemons have a shortname that is more commonly used in conversation, and then a longname which is a phrase/adage/proverb type situation. This lovely lady is Discretion, or Discretion Is The Better Part Of Valour, which I felt suited a doctor's daemon.

Also! She is a made up snake! One of the things I want to play with in this au is the idea of pidw-natives having the option of both standard mythical creatures and airplane style creatures for their daemons, given that those just. Are real actual animals in their world lmao. So Discretion here is a Feather Boa Constrictor, a highly venomous (cucumber had a field day in the comments over that one) and brightly coloured constrictor snake, covered tip to tail in feathers! They're not uncommon as fashionable pets, though they can grow a good deal larger than Discretion, and they're considered highly intelligent and fiercely loyal.

If you caught my specification of pidw-natives there, your suspicions may be correct! Airplane and sy are both getting daemons pre-transmigration too to come on this journey with them because I think that would be Fun. Yes sy's daemon transmigrates into sj's already-settled-in-a-different-form daemon, no it is not fun for her, no she does not resettle either immediately or post removal of the ooc lock.

And if anyone knows for sure what daemons are called in the mandarin translation of his dark materials, please let me know. I have tentatively heard 'spirit companion' but if there's a shorter term that'd be great for me specifically, and I refuse to use daemon when there's also demons running around putting me one misplaced a away from Misunderstandings.

Finally got round to Saorise's girlfriend! Lynn here is the daughter of the lindworm from the Prince Lindworm fairytale. She should probably have more rose details but what can you do lmao.

I'm not happy with how I did the iridescence or any of the shading really, but I have officially looked at this fucker for Too Long so we're calling it done.

So! Arcane oc! Her name is Opal Costain and she is both a corvid vastaya and minor nobility. Her mother was full vastaya and a painter (who I'm going to say partially taught Mel how to paint before her death) and her father is a human botanist and member of a minor House. Opal's mother died when she was fairly young.

Prior to season two, Opal was loosely tied to House Medarda due to her mother's connection to Mel, but being mostly just a writer to pass the time, she was hardly privy to the politicking of season one beyond words of support for House Talis. Post season two, her father picked up a lung condition from the paint attack. Opal has taken over some of his administrative duties and has been roped into admin work for the new council, being both loyal to House Medarda and capable of taking notes. As part of this, she sometimes acts as a scribe for Sevika (you CANNOT convince me that Sevika can write well if at all, she's down an arm and she grew up in the undercity) and is being a hopeless lesbian about it.

First like is in so you're getting the Mogswamp fic languishing by the wayside because I got distracted by Shiny New Fandom.

The idea was that Pixlriffs, a minecraft reporter, comes to interview Mog in her superflat world but said superflat world is actually under a curse and he is stranded there. Little bit beauty and the beast type vibes. Mog is a vampire in this one, and as time goes on it's becoming more and more apparent that he's hunting Pix, though they're laso genuinely bonding. Eventually (partially curse-induced) Mog attacks and feeds on Pix, almost killing him, and is horrified by their actions. He forcibly reopens the portal back to Greater Minecraft and throws Pix through it. Pix tries to move on, but he does genuinely care for Mog despite the attack and can't help but feel sorry for her trapped alone, and eventually returns to Mog's world and breaks the curse with True Love's Kiss <3

Was thinking about mbj and polar bears and one thing led to another so now I have Northern Ice-clawed Mammoth Bears, a giant tusked bear traditionally used as mounts by the Northern demon realm. Adding claws to the paws just looked a bit weird bc polar bear paws are so fluffy you can barely see the claws, so I imagine they have some situation where if you get swiped by the claws, you start freezing from the wound out.

Also featuring hairy mbj bc that man deserves to be a bear <3

Throwback to one of my old ocs, Rosemary! I wanted to give him a pseudo saddle with dangling stirrups but I couldn't make it work so I had to settle for stirrup earrings lmao

It's been forever since I last did a monster high redesign and I've literally already done Kiyomi twice but I decided I could do Better, so my decora kei Kiyomi design has gotten an upgrade!

The main change I wanted to make from her original design is to actually make her faceless. Decora kei is all about expressing yourself through an abundance of colour, which I felt fit her, and it originated in Japan like her so that's a bonus. Between the last redesign and this one, I mostly just wanted to go more over the top with colours! I was a little lazy with the variety of face decals last time, and I only had a few in the hair so I wanted to increase that. In hindsight I could've added more in the way of necklaces/bracelets/rings and badges on her jacket for this design but also I want to be Done Please so I'm calling her here <3
